‘WOF’ Ryan Seacrest Uses Body As Shield To Save Contestant
Wheel Of Fortune host Ryan Seacrest has had a lot of additional responsibilities since he took over hosting duties from Pat Sajak. Based on a recent clip making the rounds from the official social media page of the popular show, Ryan had to add “using his body as a shield” to his list of responsibilities, too. So, what happened in this clip, and what did Ryan have to do?
Wheel Of Fortune: Popular Game Show Keeps Ryan Seacrest On His Toes
With Ryan Seacrest coming to Wheel Of Fortune with his extensive experience hosting American Idol, even though he is no stranger to hosting gigs, each one comes with a little something different. What works for Ryan on American Idol may not work for him on Wheel Of Fortune.
So, in addition to all of the added scrutiny and even fan hate that came his way ever since he was announced as the new host, Seacrest has also had to figure out how things work at Wheel Of Fortune and adapt his style accordingly. Even though some viewers have called Ryan out whenever he decides to go away from the script, other viewers appreciate the effort he has put in to try and put his own spin on things.
Seacrest Puts His Body On The Line To Save Game Show Contestant
In a clip from Wheel Of Fortune making the rounds on social media, a contestant named Piddle cleaned house. Not only did she solve several puzzles and win prizes, but, she even landed on the $1M marker on the big wheel.
In the clip in question making the rounds, Piddle tried to remove the marker from the wheel, and this is when Ryan Seacrest sprung into action. He put his body on the line and dove in front of her, causing a big scene and certainly adding to the drama of the situation.
So far in his first season as the new Wheel Of Fortune host, Ryan Seacrest has done breakdancing, been put in a headlock by a former professional wrestler, has almost been kicked in the face by a professional dancer, and, in this instance, he put his body on the line once again.
Along with sharing this clip on social media, the official show page also wrote in the caption, “Piddle may have come to play #WheelOfFortune, but she was not playing around!! #highlightreel #gameshow #goodgame.”
While Piddle ended up coming up short when she made it to the Wheel Of Fortune bonus round, the vast majority of game show watchers loved the energy she brought and the personality she had.

Wheel Of Fortune Fans React To Unexpected Move From Ryan Seacrest
Ryan Seacrest diving in front of this Wheel Of Fortune contestant is certainly not something that any game show watchers expected, especially because, these days, Ryan is no longer as young as he used to be. Still, with him being so quick on his feet in this manner, it’s clear that he keeps himself agile and in shape despite his age.
