McBee Dynasty fans are calling for the cancellation of the hit reality series amid homophobic slurs resurfacing. The family’s show has moved from USA to Bravo for Season 2, and many viewers are thrilled to have them back. Unfortunately, something has come up and it could be a problem for the show. Keep reading for further details on what happened.

McBee Dynasty Fans Call For Cancellation

Season 2 of McBee Dynasty has yet to begin airing on its new network, Bravo, but there has already been a ton of drama. First off, patriarch Steve McBee is sitting this season out. He is not even on the promo posters for the series, but has been replaced by his ex-wife, Kristi. She will helm the series and wrangle their boys, and initially, fans wondered where Papa Steve was. As it turned out, he was facing thirty years behind bars for a multimillion-dollar fraud scam. Initially, his sentencing was to happen in June, but it has been pushed back to September 2025.

Without Papa Steve watching over the farm and his sons, anything can and will happen. Every Monday, Bravo is airing watch parties with people from the network. They are discovering the series, and it has been great, but now, something has resurfaced and it is not boding well. Cole McBee, who welcomed a daughter in December 2024, allegedly tweeted homophobic slurs several years ago. This all went down years before the family gained reality television notoriety, between 2014 and 2017. In his replies to people, he used homophobic driven slurs, and did not seem apologetic about it.

Cole has been deemed the “underdog” of The McBee Dynasty, but after fans saw what he had written, they were appalled. They felt that Bravo should have done a better job of choosing who goes on the network. Plus, some called for the cancellation of Season 2 just ten days ahead of the premiere. At this point, it is too late to do that, and it does not appear that Bravo has addressed this.

A Young Boy?

When these tweets initially came out, Cole McBee was barely a teenager, and clearly did not think when he was tweeting. Unfortunately for him and the cast of McBee Dynasty, this is all coming back to haunt him at a horrible time. Again, Season 2 will premiere on Monday, June 30th, while Steve McBee awaits his fraud sentencing. They are trying to celebrate the new season and the network change, but that is not happening. Bravo fans are slamming Cole and the cast, and hope there will be a change:

  • Sometimes I wish cancel culture was still a thing..
  •  these hillbilly crooks are dumb AF. Stephen Jr is the only one with a brain. And the other brother is the only one with a heart. I’ll keep watching because it will be fascinating to see the dad’s fake, stolen “legacy” get ripped up. Dude is trash and Cole is his trash clone
  • How can Bravo think this is OK? Do they not vet their talent at all
  • Get this problematic trash off Bravo please

In May 2025, Steven McBee was called out for making comments regarding business owners. He claimed that they work harder than anyone, and it is not all fame and glory, which infuriated his followers. They were hung up on his father’s bad behavior and felt what he said was extremely tone-deaf. Regardless, the show seems to be going on, although it is unclear if Cole’s part in the series will be edited down.

Are you shocked at what Cole tweeted, and do you think that this will affect Season 2 of McBee Dynasty? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

  1. No, homophobic talk will NOT affect The McBee Dynasty. If you were to cancel everyone that uttered a lgbtq slur, you’d be cancelling most shows. Contrary to some beliefs, the world is not proud of the lgbtq movement and not on board with it. If you want to punish every actor on shows that disagree with same sex unions or trans, get ready to close up shop, you wouldn’t have anyone left to be on shows and no one left to watch them.
