Nathan Smothers was part of the batch of farmers that were introduced to viewers in Farmer Wants A Wife Season 2. Nathan is a farmer from Florida, and he was the youngest farmer on his season of the reality dating show.
Even though his mustache made him look a lot older than he was at the time of filming, his age made some people think he was not truly ready for a committed relationship that would, ideally, lead to marriage. Despite his youth, Nathan proved that he was on the show for the right reasons, and he eventually found his match, Taylor BeDell.

Nathan Smothers took to TikTok with a surprising post that many of his Farmer Wants A Wife fans did not expect. To begin the short clip, Nathan started with the words, “When you pay $21,600 for a photo shoot and only get one picture back.”
The clip in question then cuts to Nathan’s mugshot from when he was arrested and booked back in November 2019. So, he clearly has a sense of humor about it now, as evidenced by his comparing the mugshot to an expensive photoshoot. Either way, it’s some extra tea for Farmer Wants A Wife fans to dig into, especially for those who are unaware that he has this as part of his past.
Farmer Wants A Wife: What Crime Did Nathan Smothers Commit?
Even though the mugshot of Nathan Smothers does reveal his booking date, as well as his charges, many fans are not sure what happened, including how everything went down. It turns out, when Nathan was just 19 years old, he was arrested for felony criminal mischief.
This was after he allegedly did donuts on the soccer field of a rival school. So, what might have started out as a seemingly harmless prank did end up costing the eventual Farmer Wants A Wife farmer big time. He was also charged with trespassing after causing an estimated $60k in damages.
The good news is, he seems to have a sense of humor about the whole thing now, and it looks like he has outgrown any desire to break any laws since then.
