‘Survivor’ Boston Rob’s Daughter Rushed To Hospital
“Boston Rob” Mariano of Survivor and Deal or No Deal Island fame recently shared shocking news with fans. During a family vacation, one of the star’s daughters had to be rushed to the hospital. This also follows the star sharing information about the trip and other recent events in his family’s life with fans on social media.
Rob Mariano Shared That One Of His Daughters Had To Go To The Hospital During A Vacation In Mexico
Mariano is best known for appearing in a variety of Survivor series. This includes Survivor: Marquesas, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, and Survivor: Redemption Island, among others. He has also appeared in a variety of reality shows over the years, including seasons of The Amazing Race, Deal or No Deal Island, and The Traitors.
In his personal life, Rob started a relationship with fellow reality show alum Amber Brkich in 2003. The two married in 2005, which served as the focus of the CBS special, Rob and Amber Get Married. The couple shares four daughters together: Lucia Rose, Carina Rose, Isabetta Rose, and Adelina Rose.
According to E! News, Rob’s daughter Carina was recently rushed to the hospital while on a family vacation in Mexico. Rob revealed his daughter’s health was impacted after coming into contact with a plant.
Taking to Instagram Stories, the Survivor alum shared that Carina “got poked by this plant yesterday on the golf course…long story short we ended up in the hospital last night.” He continued that “she had a pretty severe reaction to the plant and was in a lot of pain.”
“The doctors did an ultrasound to look for the spine. But instead found an abundance of fluid inside her knee near where the plant pricked her and prescribed some antibiotics and anti-inflammatories.”
Fortunately, it was shared that Carina was feeling “much better” following treatment. Rob also shared an image of the plant, sharing it was identified as “El Datilillo, ‘The Spanish Dagger.'”
The Survivor Star Had Also Recently Shared Some News Concerning His Family On Social Media
The family vacation had also come out after celebrating Carina’s middle school graduation. Around the time, Rob shared that he “cried like a baby” after seeing his daughter reach such a milestone.
Sharing he had become “so overcome with emotion,” Rob also shared that Carina earned the “Leadership award!,” which is her school’s top honor. At the time, he had quite a few kind words for his daughter. He shared, “You are so kind and smart and beautiful, and you will succeed in whatever you do. You are a wonderful daughter and a great sister. You are a Champion! I love you with all of my heart!”
To celebrate the school year, the family decided to take a vacation in Cabo San Lucas. The trip also doubled as a Father’s Day treat for Rob, who spent the time playing golf and enjoying the beach before the incident.
Rob also shared a video with fans about the trip on Instagram. As the reality star wrote in the caption, “All #mygirls living their best lives this week @hiltonloscabos ….which one do you identify with the most?!?”

Over the years, Rob has often shared how important family is to time. Back in 2020, he also recently appeared on the First Class Fatherhood podcast, where he shared, “We spend so much time together because we want to. That family aspect is the most important part of what I’m teaching my kids.”
