Ken Jennings To Compete On Another Game Show
Ken Jennings has had a long history with Jeopardy!, long before he even started hosting the famous game show. Recently, it’s been announced that Jennings will also compete on another game show. However, Jennings actually has a surprising bit of a history with the rival show. This also comes out just as Jeopardy! is set to be taking a break.
Ken Jennings Has Been Part Of Jeopardy! As A Contestant, A Producer, & A Host
Jennings first appeared on Jeopardy! during its 20th season in 2004. In his initial run, he secured consecutive 74 wins. Eventually, this streak came to an end after losing a game to Nancy Zerg. Jennings would make later appearances on the show, appearing in the series’ tournaments.
In 2020, Jennings would return to Jeopardy! in a new role: as a producer. The same year, he would be announced as a guest host on the show. Initially sharing rotating hosting duties with actress Mayim Bialik, until becoming the show’s sole host by the 40th season.

According to TV Insider, Jennings is set to make an appearance on another game show. The current Jeopardy! host will appear on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? will see a new season come out on July 23. Jimmy Kimmel will host, with the season seeing celebrities compete in pairs for charity.
The Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Host Will Reunite With An Old Rival, & It Isn’t Jennings
Meanwhile, Jennings will have a break from Jeopardy! as it finishes its current season at the end of July. During his upcoming appearance on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, Jennings is set to be paired up with actor Matt Damon.
Jennings’ appearance on the show was teased during a recent preview, where he is seen saying, “Do we love Matt Damon or what?” Kimmel also joked, “I’m coming on Jeopardy! with someone you hate.” For his part, Damon remained silent during the exchange.
This was in reference to a long-running gag of Damon and Kimmel having something of a rivalry with each other. Back in 2005, Kimmel once said on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, “Apologies to Matt Damon, but we ran out of time,” despite Damon not being scheduled to appear in the first place. Over the years, the two often play up the idea that they actually despise each other.
Various other celebrities are already set to appear during the game show. Actors, comedians, and even a few reporters are set to appear. Such stars include Helen Hunt, Kal Penn, Jameela Jamil, Sarah Silverman, Ronny Chieng, Joel McHale, and Adam Devine.
As Some Fans Pointed Out, This Wasn’t The First Time Jennings Has Appeared On Millionaire
Jennings also isn’t the only game show host set to appear on the show this season. Drew Carey, of Whose Line Is It Anyway? and The Price is Right fame, in addition to his own namesake sitcom, is also set to appear.
This also isn’t the first time Jennings has been involved with Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, either. He previously appeared on the show as the “expert” for the “Ask the Expert” lifeline. Back in 2014, he also served as a contestant on the show during a Guinness World Records Edition themed week.
