‘Live’ Kelly Ripa Slumps Then Collapses To Floor

Kelly Ripa Slumps Then Collapses To Floor
There is never a dull moment when it comes to Live with Kelly and Mark. The longtime couple always brings something interesting and different to the hit morning talk show. Viewers have also watched Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ kids being born and grow up, which has added to their relatability. Recently, they moved studios after decades at the old one. This was a huge adjustment as they had made so many memories, but it was time for a fresh start. Now that they have moved on and up, they are excited to welcome guests, but sometimes viewers have to expect the unexpected.
During the Monday, June 16th episode, Kelly and Mark were working with AI (artificial intelligence). This trend can be worrisome as it has been known to replace jobs and humans in general. The couple was doing a segment with Google Gemini, introduced by Lance Ulanoff. Once Lance unveiled this AI program, it hit Kelly hard. Ulanoff asked Gemini:
“I’m sitting here with two very intense hosts, and I’m really nervous, what should I do?”
To that, Gemini replied:
“It’s totally normal to feel nervous in that kind of situation. Just remember to breathe and focus on the conversation, not the people.
That was when Kelly asked Gemini if it could show Ulanoff how to meet real people. He soon felt that Mark and Kelly were becoming disinterested, which led the hostess to slump and slide off her chair onto the ground.
As Kelly was lying on the ground, she had one question for Google Gemini:
“Are you happy, Gemini? You’ve killed one of the hosts.”
Lance Ulanoff proceeded to joke around with his toy, stating that he thought he had bored her to death. He added he had no idea what to do next. Gemini was quick to tell Ulanoff to check on the person and if they were not okay, get help.
Everyone Is Talking
After Kelly Ripa collapsed at the end of the episode, the clip went viral. There has been so much chatter about AI and the impact that it could have on the world. Kelly took it to a whole other level and made a mockery of the idea. She seemed to feel that Lance Ulanoff had become dependent on AI interaction, and that may be her general feeling about these tools. After Ulanoff had consulted with Google Gemini on how to proceed with Kelly on the floor, she soon popped up. She noted that she thought maybe Gemini was not so bad after all:
“Okay, maybe Gemini does have a sense of humor.”
Talk show hosts have long slumped and fallen to the floor. Wendy Williams had a wobbly moment dressed as the Statue of Liberty and fell over, in a moment that shocked the world. However, hers seemed very serious, whereas The View moderator, Whoopi Goldberg, uses falling when she does not care for a topic.
