Wendy Williams Back To The Streets Like Her Old Self Again
Since 2022, Wendy Williams has been living under a conservatorship and within an assisted living facility. Over the past year, however, the star has been speaking out about her situation and has even enjoyed a few public appearances. Recently, fans saw her out and about with a few friends, looking much like her old self.
Wendy Williams Was Out With Two Famous Friends In Tow
Williams is best known for hosting her namesake series, The Wendy Williams Show. In 2022, after her assets were frozen by Wells Fargo, she had been placed under a guardianship.
The following year saw Williams receive a diagnosis of aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, which she has disputed. The former talk show host has been living within an assisted living facility known as the Coterie.
Over the past year, Williams and various supporters have spoken out about her situation with various outlets. As she has been speaking out, Williams has also been seen having some excursions outside of the facility.
According to TMZ, Williams was recently seen out in New York, enjoying a meal with friends. The former talk show host was seen with “media maven” Alvina Alston and fashion icon Tobi Rubinstein.
In an accompanying video, Williams appeared excited to see her friends and hugging them. An interviewer, noting that the ladies were dressed to the nines, asked if this was going to be a big night. In response, she was told this was a “girlfriends’ night.”
Wendy Williams Was Also Seen Going Out With Don Lemon Back In April
The interviewer had a few kind words for the star, saying, “I love this for you, Wendy. Well, you look good. Thank you for even smiling at the camera. We appreciate you. Ciao, Wendy.” The video then cut as Williams and her friends entered what appeared to be a restaurant.
Williams didn’t have much to say for the video but appeared happy to be with her friends. They could even be seen posing for a photo before entering the establishment.

This isn’t the first time Williams has been seen out of the facility with a few famous friends. Back in April, she was seen going out to dinner with journalist Don Lemon. These appearances are likely good news for fans, with Wendy Williams reportedly comparing her life at the Coterie to prison.
TMZ asked Lemon what the night out was like a few days afterward. At the time, he shared, “It’s great. I mean, it was good to see her. I haven’t seen her in a long time. I’ve just spoken to her, but she looks really good and she’s in great spirits and her aura is great and she seems fine to me.” He also commented that she made certain to enjoy the food she had while out, saying she doesn’t like the food at her facility.
