Hallmark Announces ‘Providence Falls’ Special Event Premiere Date, Cast Includes ‘American Idol’ Alum Katie Stevens
Hallmark has already announced its first August Summer Nights programming. This is the limited, three-part Special Event called Providence Falls. This is a time-travel romance adapted from Jude Deveraux and Tara Sheet’s book series.
This series stars American Idol Season 9 alum Katie Stevens, Lachlan Quarmby, and Aurora Teagarden star Evan Roderick. This is produced in association with Joanna Garcia Swisher’s Rolling Clover production company.

Hallmark’s Providence Falls Is A Three-Part Special Event
On Wednesday, Hallmark Media announced more details about Providence Falls. Deadline reports that the three.part Special Event that the network first announced in January. Jessica Callahan, the VP of Programming shared, “Providence Falls is a beautiful and heartfelt tale of love and redemption. As a longtime fan of Jude Deveraux’s writing, I knew we needed to adapt this as soon as Joanna pitched it. “
Hallmark viewers will be swept into the mystery, gorgeous period costumes, and most of all, the epic romance.
Joanna Garcia Swisher shared her own statement. “Our book club, Rolling Clover Reads, is one of my favorite extensions of The Happy Place.” She continued how she was always looking for good stories to share with her readers. Joanna also revealed that she found the Providence Falls trilogy when she was in Ireland filming As Luck Would Have It for Hallmark.”
Swisher shared, “I’ve always loved the notion that love can be eternal, and these books offered the perfect backdrop for a sweeping, epic love story and I believe the Hallmark audience will fall in love with Providence Falls just as I did.”
What Is Hallmark’s Providence Falls About?
What is the Providence Falls trilogy about? Firstly, it is is 1844 in Ireland. Liam O’Conner, portrayed by Lachlan Quarmby, falls in love with Cora McLeod, portrayed by Katie Stevens. However, Liam is a rouge and a thief. But Cora is an aristocrat’s daughter. Her future is not with Liam. She is promised to another, who is wealthy and worthy of her, according to society’s norms. But she barely knows the man she is going to marry. Therefore, Cora falls for Liam.
“The plan to make a new life together in America is thwarted, and the consequences of Liam and Cora’s unlikely love ripples through time, causing everyone to relive the events of the past. Now the Angels of Destiny need Liam’s help to set things right and if he doesn’t succeed, his very soul is on the line.”
Now, it is the current day. Liam has been transported to this era and the incarnation of Cora is here. She is a police officer. His job is to bring Cora and Finn (Evan Roderick), the man she was set to marry back in 1844 Ireland, together. He has to help them fall in love. Meanwhile, only Liam can remember the past. Furthermore, he wants Cora to fall in love with him again.
Subsequently, Liam is now Cora’s new partner and the two try to solve a case. Undoubtedly, they still have a strong connection. Cora is still that woman he fell in love with nearly 200 years ago.

When Does Hallmark Premiere Providence Falls?
The premiere of Providence Falls is on Saturday, August 2, at 8 p.m., Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel. This movie will be available to stream the next day on Hallmark+. In addition, the remaining two movies will subsequently premiere the next two Saturdays, August 9, and August 16, at the same time. The final two Summer Nights movies should be announced within the next few few weeks.
