‘On Patrol: Live’ 2 New Departments Set To Join Show

On Patrol: Live may have two new departments joining the hit real-life cop series. Departments come and go, some just head on an extended hiatus a few times a year. So, who is supposedly set to come along? Keep reading for more details.
2 New Departments Set To Join OPL
On Patrol: Live has been known to get the best, most exciting departments to join. Friday and Saturdays, viewers love to tune in and watch the chases, as well as the antics that ensue. There is always some drunken person who claims that they are just fine, or another on a bike who gets pulled over for one reason or the other. Of course, fans cannot ignore the random wrong-direction driver who either stops or leads the cops on a high-speed chase. The officers will even engage in some fun commentary with those in trouble, and that adds comic relief.

Now, it seems that two new departments may be joining the fan favorite reality series. Hazen often takes two breaks every year for holidays, to hunt, and to spend time with their families. However, they are always missed, and some new departments may ease the pain. The first one is Baton Rouge, but what that means for Monroe is unknown. Next up could be the Wheeling Police Department, out of West Virginia. A follower shared this insight:
- The Baton Rouge Metro Council is scheduled to review an agreement that would bring BRPD onto On Patrol: Live.
- Wheeling Police Department (West Virginia): Wheeling PD is also expected to join the show soon.
Apparently, On Patrol: Live has been speaking with Baton Rouge since Fall 2024, but there was a holdup. Now, filming with them could begin in July 2025. As for Wheeling, the wheels are in motion, and it all could come together by the end of Summer 2025.

They will come in and take over for a department that is leaving, although who is currently unknown. It was also stated that Monroe is exiting.
Fans React To The Big News
With the news that two new departments could be joining On Patrol: Live, are fans ready for this? They have grown accustomed to who is there now, so to think these departments are coming in as replacements could be scary. Viewers were rather excited and ready for the new additions:
- I’ll take Wheeling! It will be nice to have a department that I’m familiar with the area on the show.
- Come on BRPD!
- As a long time viewer since Live PD, they need to liven things up for me, I’m losing interest and I don’t want to be, big fan of the show
It was also alleged that Berkeley is likely leaving:
-
From some people I know who work there, Berkeley is likely taking a break soon. No, the show isn’t kicking them off and no they don’t have some sort of problem with the show, they just need a break. Filming constantly is stressful for the agency and Berkeley has been on nearly non-stop since the show started.
Many wanted Toledo to return, but that does not appear to be happening as of now. Are you excited that two new departments could be coming to On Patrol: Live? More so, do you want Toledo back, as well? Let us know in the comments below.
