‘Mama June’ Fans Slam Network For Downplaying Dralin’s Arrest

Mama June fans are slamming WeTV for downplaying Dralin Carswell’s arrest, and making it seem like he did nothing wrong. When he met with his lawyer, alongside his girlfriend, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson, they acted as if the arresting officers were the problem. So, what do viewers have to say about this? Mama June Fans Slam Network For Downplaying Dralin’s Arrest

Back in March 2023, Dralin Carswell was driving along with Alana Thompson and his cousin. That was when he attempted to flee from the cops and took them on a three-mile chase. Furthermore, he was allegedly intoxicated when he finally succumbed to authorities. Dralin was arrested for DUI, fleeing police, and outstanding warrants, and is now facing up to a decade behind bars. Yet, when he and Alana met with his lawyer on the latest episode of Mama June: Family Crisis, the couple acted like he did nothing wrong. More so, Alana chimed in, stating that the police came at them hard and fast.

Dralin’s lawyer stated, “you smoked an hour before and were speeding,” to which he debunked this. He and Alana alleged that the police came up to his car with guns drawn, as if there was no chase. Fans who saw this scene between Dralin and the lawyer were not happy and felt that the network was downplaying his crime. One viewer shared this:

• Okay…. Is this show down playing what he did? When the lawyer said “you smoked and hour before and were speeding” he’s like no no no they pulled me over with guns drawn. YEAH CAUSE YOU TOOK THEM ON A CHASE!! They also never mention his DUI?

It was also suggested that the show is trying to avoid making Dralin Carswell look like a bad guy. However, it is unclear as to why this is happening and why Mama June is allowing it. Mainly because she does not want Alana to wait around for Dralin if he were to be sentenced to 10 years.

It’s A Serious Issue

Mama June fans do not appreciate what WeTV has done regarding Dralin Carswell and his court case. They feel that the network is not doing any justice regarding the severity of his crime. More so, they believe Dralin is not thinking by not accepting the plea deal. It seems the consensus is that he will be in extremely hot water if this were to go to trial:

• When they tried to pull him over for outstanding warrants, he took off. They chased him for 3 miles and eventually had to pit him to stop him. He never voluntarily pulled over. That’s pretty serious.
• Once the video footage and evidence is turned over to the defense attorney, this guy would be a damn idiot not to accept the plea deal.
• the lawyer said thats what the cops said Dralin said, cops literally lie all the time and its pretty convenient they “cant find” the camera footage eh?

It was also noted that Alana Thompson started dating Dralin when she was almost 16 and he was 20. They then moved in together when she was still a minor. Therefore, the network is hiding as much as it can, but for what reason? That is unknown.
