Willie Roberston Gives Sad Update On Ms. Kay’s Health After Tragic Loss
The Robertson family of Duck Dynasty fame recently endured the loss of family patriarch, Phil Robertson. Recently, however, Willie Robertson has shared another health update concerning his mother, Ms. Kay. In addition, some information was given concerning Kay’s role in the reboot series, Duck Dynasty: The Revival, which premiered earlier this month.
The Duck Dynasty Family Recently Endured The Loss Of Family Patriarch Phil Robertson
Fans were introduced to the Robertson family through the A&E series, Duck Dynasty. The series revolved around the family business, Duck Commander, which developed products for duck hunters, including its namesake duck call.
Tragically, family patriarch and Duck Commander founder Phil Robertson passed away on May 25, 2025. This came out after he had been suffering from a variety of health issues, including an Alzheimer’s diagnosis.
Following this news, Phil’s son Willie Robertson also recently shared an update concerning his mother Kay. Speaking with the USA Today Network, Willie shared, “Kay is not in the best of health. We’re trying to help her out as much as we can.”
Tragically, Kay’s health update also comes out as she is mourning the loss of Phil. As Willie shared, “Some of it is she is just depressed. She lost her partner of 60 years.”
Kay was noticeably absent during a premiere party meant to celebrate the debut of Duck Dynasty: The Revival. As previously reported, when the reboot was originally announced, Kay was expected to take part in the series. While Kay did appear during the first episode, health issues have kept her from appearing in later episodes.
Willie noted, “Mom was on the show at the beginning so we have some sweet moments with her.” For his part, Phil’s appearances on the reboot were limited to flashbacks. As previously reported, the premiere also paid tribute to Phil with a scene where he spoke with Willie.
Willie Also Recently Talked About The Blind, A Film Based On His Parents’ Story
This isn’t the first time in recent months that the family has spoken out about Kay’s health issues. Jase Robertson previously spoke about these concerns back in April during the family’s podcast, “Unashamed With the Robertson Family.”
At the time, Jase shared that he feared for his mother’s life after a fall and an infection that led to her hospitalization. As he shared, “We were kind of dealing with the fact that maybe this is it.”
As many Duck Dynasty fans know, Phil and Kay’s love story was the basis of the 2023 independent movie, The Blind, which was produced by Willie Robertson and his wife, Korie. Earlier this month, Willie had claimed that the film saw an increase in streaming views following the news of his father’s passing.
