During a recent episode, the co-hosts had a discussion on whether President Donald Trump would consider pardoning Sean “Diddy” Combs. This comes out after various high-profile figures had been pardoned by the president, including Todd and Julie Chrisley of Chrisley Knows Best fame.

Combs had been indicted back in September 2024, under various charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking. After spending months behind bars, the mogul’s high-profile court case started this past May.

Since his original arrest, Diddy’s legal issues have been a topic of discussion on various outlets. The case has been mentioned quite a few times on The View.

During the conversation, Alyssa Farah Griffin brought up 50 Cent and his feud with Combs. It was also claimed that the rapper had attempted to dissuade the president from such an idea.

Griffin explained, “50 Cent has had a bit of a relationship with Trump. He came out and said he was going to talk to Trump about why he should not pardon Diddy, because he’s been all on Diddy’s things for years and been calling him out for it.”

This caused Haines to quip, “Everyone’s been on Diddy’s things.” The line led to groans from the studio audience.

Viewers Also Took Issue With A Recent Comment From Sara Haines About Elon Musk

Noting the response, Haines immediately apologized for the joke. She could be heard whispering “sorry” under her breath and kept to herself as the conversation went on.

Fans at home also took issue with the joke. On social media, one fan commented, “Sara Haines should be fired or suspended for that Diddy comment. They suspended Whoopi [Goldberg] for less.”

As noted by The U.S. Express, Goldberg was suspended back in 2022 for around two weeks. At the time, she commented that the Holocaust was “not about race” while talking about the graphic novel Maus being banned in a Tennessee school district.

This also comes out after Sara recently received backlash for comments about Elon Musk stepping down from his role with the Trump administration. At the time, she shared, “I do like the break up of Elon and Donald Trump. Alyssa, you’ve been saying for months ‘this bromance can’t last.’” As the publication noted, the conversation caused one fan to ask for a “mute button” for both Haines and Griffin.
