‘Sister Wives’ Fans Compare Kody’s ‘Guy Trips’ To ‘Brokeback Mountain’

Fans Compare Kody’s ‘Guy Trips’ To Brokeback Mountain
For some time, Sister Wives star Kody Brown’s sexuality has come into question. He was on the wrestling team in high school, and when he would reflect upon his time, he would get all hot and bothered. Fans have wondered if he was either gay or bisexual, yet there was no concrete proof of any of this. Still, speculation has long been there, and it is not heightened thanks to recent comments. During part two of the tell-all, Kody was asked about his ex-wife, Christine Brown Woolley’s husband, David. The idea of them going on a guy’s trip came up, and Kody stated he had a “dirty thought” about it.
He had this to say about the men going away together:
“Here’s the thing. I’ve had conversations with David since that just was kind of like [I] enjoyed his company and, I had a dirty thought. I thought David and I should go on a guy’s trip together. And then I went, no, that would just be so uncool to Christine.”
After fans heard him say the line about having a “dirty thought,” they had a lot of questions. First off, they wanted to know what happened on these getaways:
- So in the second episode of the tell all, Kody says he had a “dirty thought” about going on a guys trip with David. When Suki asked David about that he said “some rules would have to change” and that it was between him and Kody. WHAT HAPPENS ON THESE GUYS TRIPS? Did I miss something?
Immediately, one Sister Wives fan chimed in with an image from the Heath Ledger/Jake Gyllenhaal love story, Brokeback Mountain.
Followers felt the same way, that something was off about Kody Brown’s statement. They were not quite sure what it was, but did feel it leaned toward some same-sex fun.
A Trip With Kody
It was suspicious as to why Kody Brown would say he had a “dirty thought,” and then bring up David and a guy’s trip. However, the Sister Wives star may have meant that it was more scandalous for him to go away with his ex’s husband. Fans felt there was something off about his trips, and immediately chimed in:
- Omg, I need to know!!!
- Let’s not ask questions we don’t want the answers to. 😂 I mean do we really need more reasons to dislike baldilocks?
- I think he meant “petty.” He was entertaining the thought of how bothered Christine would be if he became friends with David. Would she really be? I don’t know. But that’s exactly what his “dirty” thought was, IMO.
After seeing the Brokeback Mountain meme posted by a fan, others added that this is exactly what came to mind. Clearly, Kody Brown is an alpha male and would never admit it, even if he were not straight. Regardless, this was an interesting choice of words.
