‘The Voice’ Will Kelsea Ballerini Be Back For Season 28?
Kelsea Ballerini has been part of The Voice for years, making her debut as a main coach with Season 27. With the season recently coming to an end, fans are wondering if Ballerini’s coaching days are behind her, especially with Season 28 coming up. Recently, the singer and television personality recently discussed her plans for the future, and whether or not that includes The Voice.
Kelsea Ballerini Was Previously A ‘Guest Coach’ On The Voice Before Her Season 27 Debut
Ballerini is known for her work as a singer, especially in the country pop genre, starting her career in the 2010s. She is known for songs like “Love Me Like You Mean It” and “Peter Pan.” A decorated performer, Ballerini has also earned at least five Grammy nominations.
Recently, Ballerini also established herself as a television personality. During Season 15 of The Voice, she appeared as a “fifth coach,” working with contestants who didn’t get chair turns during the Blinds in a new round called, “The Comeback Stage.” She also featured as a guest coach during Season 20, filling in for Kelly Clarkson.
During Season 27 of The Voice, Ballerini joined her first season as a coach. This time, she sat alongside John Legend, Michael Bublé, and Adam Levine.
With Season 27 coming to an end, fans are wondering if this is the last they’ve seen of Ballerini as a coach. However, Ballerini recently appeared on Today With Jenna & Friends, where she explained why she would be taking some time away from the show.
Ballerini Also Recently Opened Up About Her Time On The Show
As Ballerini explained, “I need a break! And I’ve never been able to say that before, but I really think it’s just time for me to pump the brakes, figure out what’s next, have a summer, what? Go to the beach? Huh? Learn to cook a new meal, hang out with the dogs. So that’s kind of my agenda.”
Ballerini might not have won the season, with the winning contestant Adam David belonging to Bublé’s team. However, she still enjoyed her time on the show. As she explained, “It’s been such a beautiful season of doing things that are out of my comfort zone and bigger than I’ve ever done, and it’s been really fulfilling. I love being in that seat.”
Ballerini also confirmed that her coaching debut was “one of the greatest honors of my career.” That said, there is still the question if fans have seen the last of her as a coach. All Ballerini could share when asked, “Never say never.”
As previously reported, the list of coaches has already been announced for The Voice‘s Season 28: Snoop Dogg, Niall Horan, Michael Bublé, and Reba McEntire. While Ballerini is taking a break during the upcoming season, seeing a number of coaches return suggests her own return could one day happen, too.
