Hoda Kotb & Joanna Gaines Join Forces For New Business Collab
Hoda Kotb left her role on the Today show earlier this year. Despite this, she’s already moving on to other ventures in her career. Recently, Kotb teased big news with fans, complete with another big name at her side, Joanna Gaines.
Hoda Kotb & Joanna Gaines Shared Big News In A Shared Social Media Post
For years, Kotb was known for working with Today, first joining its fourth hour in 2007. In 2018, she also became a co-anchor alongside Savannah Guthrie.
Kotb announced she would be leaving Today back in late 2024. Her final day on the show would be January 10, 2025. Since then, Kotb has shared other ventures she’s got planned.
As previously reported, Kotb has been developing a new wellness company and app, Joy 101. Recently, she shared an update with fans where she revealed she’s teaming up with HGTV and Magnolia Network star Joanna Gaines.
Taking to Instagram, Kotb and Gaines shared a joint post revealing the news. As Kotb shared in the caption, “I have some big news to share! @JoannaGaines is giving my @joy101 office space a #MiniReni. Tune in to see this transformation on the season finale Wednesday, July 9 at 8p/7c on @MagnoliaNetwork and @StreamOnMax.”
The accompanying video opens up with Kotb talking to Gaines, sharing, “It’s got something. I could imagine myself, like walking through the door here, and seeing something happening.”
Kotb then addressed the audience directly, sharing, “I am embarking on a brand-new business. And it’s a wellness business, so it has to feel uplifting, and airy, and free.”
Kotb continued, “And I was like, I don’t know anything about spaces. And I was thinking, who would I call who could help me, who would know? And only one name popped in and it was like clear as day, and it was Joanna.”
Hoda Kotb Also Shared A Bit More About What Fans Can Expect With Joy 101
Gaines herself then shared, “You said wellness. So, I was like, is it? Are we going to be doing this stuff?,” before striking a yoga pose. This caused Kotb to tease that she would make Gaines “do some pushups here. And then we’re going to see what it’s all about.”
Kotb then explained more about Joy 101. She shared, “It’ll be an app. I’ts going to be retreats. It’s going to be all the things.” They then touched on how the space would be the “epicenter” of it all.

Gaines noted, “As I stepped into that space for the first time, I thought it’s like the perfect template for a Mini Reni in that it’s white walls. It’s very simple and all I need to do now is build on those layers, that story, all the pretty stuff.”
Gaines’ new show, Mini Reni, sees her help renovate miniature home renovations, which airs on the Magnolia Network. As shared by the network’s website, on the show, Gaines helps showcase “how intentional, creative additions can make a big impact in a small space.”
