It has been a long journey for Carrie Underwood, starting with appearing on Season 4 of American Idol. She went on to win the whole thing and became immensely successful along the way. Carrie worked tirelessly, toured, and even came up with her own fitness clothing line. At the same time, she got married and welcomed two children. Most recently, she joined the judge’s panel on Idol, which was a huge deal. She went back to where it all began to offer insight to the new batch of hopefuls. Some loved her while others are still up in the air.
As of now, she is slated to come back for the next season, and fans have noted that Katy Perry was hard to watch at first. However, she got adjusted, and everyone grew attached to her. Hopefully, that will be the case for Carrie, but in the meantime, she is reflecting on her journey, and it has broken her down. In a clip, she immediately starts crying, reflecting on her time as an Idol contestant. She notes that it is “so grand” and “unbelievable” to think about. No one could have ever told Carrie that this was how her career and life would begin.

When Carrie Underwood first auditioned for American Idol, she was at a crossroads in her life. She was a student and trying to figure out where she was headed next. It was a “whim” that she went for the audition and attempted to shoot her shot. Simon Cowell was convinced she would have more success than anyone who ever won. It was a huge accomplishment to keep going all the way until the finale, and then to win it all.
Fans Gush With Carrie
Admittedly, how far she has come sounds “insane” to Carrie Underwood, but she has done it all and more. She won American Idol and won eight Grammys along the way. After fans saw her tear up and break down over her life’s journey, they could not help but gush over her. They love how relatable her story is and how she is still in disbelief all of these years later:

Carrie Underwood you have done some amazing things. We watched you grow up. Which your age at the time you stated on your career. Sure made big changes. People fell in love with you. I am sure there is more to you than just your singing. You have talent that we know nothing about. So share the talents. I can’t wait to see what you Do next. Maybe a she with all of American idol constants.
Not sure which is more fake – her being “emotional” or her redone looks. A very vain person, possibly second only to T Swift.
