Sharon Osbourne is known to many for supporting her spouse, Ozzy Osbourne of Black Sabbath fame. Recently, the star took to social media to discuss one of her husband’s more controversial songs. In a lengthy video, Sharon shared that the song had been attacked over themes she felt were taken out of context.
Sharon Osbourne Recently Broke Her Silence On A Black Sabbath Song
Sharon Osbourne is the spouse of Black Sabbath singer, Ozzy Osbourne. In the early 2000s, Sharon and her family also became known to audiences through the MTV reality series, The Osbournes.
Over the years, Sharon would also become something of a television personality in her own right. She served as a judge on shows like The X Factor and America’s Got Talent and a host on The Talk.

Recently, Sharon herself took to social media to talk about one of Black Sabbath’s songs, “War Pigs,” which was released in 1970. Talking about how the song was criticized for its war themes, Sharon shared that she felt critics were taking the song out of context.
Sharon also highlighted that she was criticized for sharing her own political views due to the song. In a caption, Sharon simply wrote, “Perception vs. Reality.”
In the video, Sharon noted, “I just want to bring something up to a lot of people who have been sending me messages about my husband’s song, ‘War Pigs,’ which he did with Black Sabbath. And a lot of people are saying how can I talk about Palestine and Israel when my husband sings songs about war and people said that this song is a war song.”
Sharon Felt Black Sabbath Fans Already ‘Know This’
“It’s an anti-war song and I know, for all the Sabbath fans out there, you know this, but people that just again read a name, ‘War Pigs.’ In their mind, this is glorifying war. It is not.”
“Now again, look a little deeper. I don’t have to justify. I know truth. It’s an anti-war song. Even if you Google it, go on AI and write in Black Sabbath’s ‘War Pigs’ and read what it says about it. Cause it’s all there.”

“You don’t have to hear it from me. You were so quick to come up by calling me a hypocrite because my husband sang a song called ‘War Pigs.’ It was actually written around [the] Vietnam War and it was anti-war.”
“Just spend two minutes of your time researching before you…fly off and you complain about something. Cause you see when you do that you make yourself look like an idiot. So just do some homework before you accuse people of being hypocrites. And it’s for everything. Perception and reality. You all see headlines. Everything is river to the sea, genocide, starvation, headlines, headlines.”
Later in the video, Sharon shared, “I hate the war. I hate what it’s doing to women and children and young fighters. All those kids that are out there on both sides, fighting. It’s ugly. It doesn’t solve anything.”
Sharon ended the video by sharing her love with listeners, adding Ozzy shares the sentiment. She concluded, “I love you all as my husband would say and God bless you all. Thank you.”
