Hearties may feel like it has been forever since Elizabeth, Little Jack, Nathan, and Allie left Hope Valley for Cape Fullerton in the When Calls The Heart Season 12 cliffhanger finale episode. They want to know know what happens next.
Therefore, it makes sense that when Hallmark shared a teaser post on Instagram, these superfans begged for more information on the upcoming season. The network shared a photo of Mike Hickam, portrayed by Ben Rosenbaum.
The post read, “Just a little hiatus check-in from your favorite bartender! 😉 How’s everyone doing Hearties?”
The response was energetic. Fans shared how excited they were about Season 13. Moreover, one shared, “I’m missing my favorite show.” Some are even rewatching the series. Hearties are ready for more. How much more time do they have to wait for When Calls The Heart to return?

When Does WCTH Season 13 Start Filming?
Hallmark has not confirmed many things about When Calls The Heart Season 13. They have shared that the next season will premiere in 2026. However, the network has not yet started filming. It is assumed that they will start filming in July. This is what they have done for the past five years. They usually complete filming sometime in November.
However, the industry publications that would list production of the Hallmark series have not yet released production dates. That doesn’t mean anything. But, that information should be forthcoming.
Thankfully, new showrunner Joy Gregory has been busy talking about the next season in a cornucopia of media outlets. She has shared that Bill Avery And Nathan Grant will be dealing with a crisis close to Hope Valley.
However, that “urgent” case does not appear to interfere with Nathan’s time with Elizabeth. She continues to deal with caring for her young son who was recently diagnosed with diabetes. Although Joy Gregory promises that they will not dwell on Little Jack’s chronic illness, this will play a part in the schoolteacher’s character growth.
In addition, Season 13 will see Lucas Bouchard back in Hope Valley full-time. Chris McNally’s character will be having some new adventures. Furthermore, so will Henry Gowan. Martin Cummins’ character was not in a lot of Season 12. But, Hearties should expect much more of Henry in Season 13.
It appears that there will be less time with the school children and more on the core characters in Season 13. Yet, as Hallmark has not started production on the series, there could be a lot of changes from what the writers have planned.
