Sister Wives star Kody Brown has faced many criticisms throughout Garrison’s death storyline. Some fans called him out for making everything about himself and for wanting to honor Garrison now that he’s gone. Kody had his fair share of emotional breakdowns when his son died. But some fans seem to feel sympathy for Kody. Keep reading to see why.

Sister Wives: Kody Brown Faces Backlash During Garrison’s Death

The previous episode of Season 19 featured the Brown family’s reunion in Wyoming to send Garrison to his final resting place. However, Kody faced backlash after seemingly using their trip to Wyoming as a quick family vacation for him and Robyn. Some Sister Wives fans noticed that Kody seemingly left Garrison’s ashes in their car when he brought his family outside. Aside from recalling his time with Garrison, many viewers also got mad when Kody just talked about his “signs” during the trip.

Fans Finally Feel Sympathy For Kody?

Some fans on social media discussed the final episode of Sister Wives Season 19. According to the poster, Kody was completely isolated in his grief due to his separation from Janelle, Meri, and Christine, which also affected his relationships with his other kids. Regardless, the OP was sad, adding that it’s not about whether he deserves it, as they all lost a loved one. The poster added that it was difficult to watch Kody trying his best to recall some of the things he and Garrison have in common, but it’s undeniable that he couldn’t recall the times he was spending quality time with him.

  • “What kills me is he still continuing to make these choices. Logan was there with an outstretched hand, quite literally, at the gravesite and he blows him off. Logan was extending an olive branch, and he was too macho to accept it. It seems like that’s the relationship he’s going to continue to have with his living children.”
  • “If Kody had accepted an assist from Logan, or even acknowledged his presence, it would have stained the fantasy Kody created about his role in Garrison’s service. Kody can’t accept love because Kody doesn’t know love. He’s a sad (pathetic AND grieving) man.”
  • “Thiiiissss….its not like EVERYONE has turned their back on him yet, but this episode just showed that he really doesn’t see the whole ‘pitcher’ of what he has done and how if he really tried he could turn it around while there’s time to do it.”
  • “I believe at this point, he knows they blame him. Everyone there knew it. Even when his brother was talking, it was very clearly sending a message in that vein. We know what we see on the screen and that’s bad enough, I can only imagine what occurred off screen. It is probably messy af.”

Sister Wives: Kody Brown Left Out At Garrison’s Funeral?

A source previously surfaced, making shocking claims during Garrison’s funeral service. According to the insider, Janelle’s family told Kody not to come to the funeral and also expressed their desire not to document the funeral. However, Kody arrived anyway, causing an intense atmosphere during the service.

What makes it worse is that the Sister Wives star arrived with Robyn and a film crew, defying everything that Janelle’s family had said. Several photos of Kody also surfaced showing him sitting next to Robyn instead of his mourning wife and kids. Regardless, it may also be another indication that Kody was left out during his grief at the funeral.
