‘Price Is Right’ Winner Goes Crazy On-Stage After Big Win
It is every contestant’s dream to win a big prize on The Price is Right. However, the prize itself isn’t always the most memorable part. During a recent episode, a contestant stole the show during a recent big win on the show.
A Contestant Had A Few Lucky Pennies On The Price Is Right
During a recent episode of The Price is Right, airing on May 20, a contestant, Ashia of Miami, Florida, won the fifth item up for bid. After bidding $2,100, she was only $100 less than the retail price.
After the winning the item, Ashia got to play, “To The Penny.” In this game, a contestant gets to pick five grocery items. They are then given five pennies. They then have to guess the price of the item with the number of prices gradually increasing.
If the contestant makes incorrect guesses, they can use the pennies to eliminate wrong answers. As long as they still keep one penny, they can continue and win $25,000.
Ashia immediately showed her enthusiasm on the show. She even began to clap when host Drew Carey told her she could possibly win $25,000 with the next game.
Ashia first had to make a guess on Poppi prebiotic soda. If she got it correct, she would win $1,500. She correctly guessed $2.49 over $5.19, without having to lose a penny.
Next up was Zicam cold remedy medicine. Coming with three possible prices, Ashia initially made an incorrect guess. However, she was able to pick the correct price after giving up two pennies.
Ashia then had to choose between four prices for Yellowbird hot sauce. She once again made a correct guess, earning $6,000. Ashia had similar luck with a container of parsley. This time, she picked it out of five prices, winning $12,000.

Carey showed he was impressed with Ashia’s progress. As he noted, “Not a lot of people make it this far in the game.”
The final item was Finish Jet-Dry rinse aid. Ashia had to pick one price out of six. With three pennies remaining, she chose to spend them, removing three incorrect prices from the board.
Making a guess, Ashia proudly proclaimed, “I know it!” She even started to skip around the stage, even before the price was announced.
Ashia was correct and indeed won the $25,000 prize. Upon hearing the news, Ashia ran around the stage and skipped before retuning to Carey. Ashia then performed a cartwheel before leaving the stage.
Ashia then moved onto the Showcase Showdown wheel. After only spinning a 25, she didn’t advance to the Showcase.
Ashia’s big win was also uploaded on The Price is Right‘s YouTube page. Following this, fans were sharing their own reactions to the big moment. Some comments include:
