‘American Idol’ Jelly Roll’s Childhood Dream Comes To Life
Fans have seen Jelly Roll’s career certainly take off over the past few years, especially with his role on American Idol. Recently, the star shared a video with fans with a show in Detroit. During the event, Jelly Roll shared a special “childhood dream” of his was about to come true.
Jelly Roll Had A Special Surprise For Fans During A Recent Show
Jelly Roll is a rapper and musician known for singles like “Son of a Sinner” and “Need a Favor.” Fans have also seen him take on a prominent role on American Idol, as an “artist-in-residence” during Season 23.
While Jelly Roll already has come a long way in his career, the rapper still has other dreams left to conquer. On social media, the rapper revealed he was able to make one such childhood dream a reality during a recent show in Detroit.
The video opened up with Jelly Roll on stage. He proclaimed to the crowd, “If you can’t tell, that was a childhood dream come f––ing true, Detroit.”
After a brief, “3, 2, 1″ countdown, the video cut back to two hours earlier. We’re not talking about it until somebody goes in my side ears. And goes, ‘He’s here, he’s here.”
The video then cut back to Jelly Roll on stage, with the caption telling him that a special guest was about to appear. Hinting at what was to come, the start “Lose Yourself” played in the background. Soon, rapper and music producer Eminem appeared on set, performing the song.
The Moment Also Caused Some Confusion For American Idol Fans On Social Media
In the video, Eminem and Jelly Roll could be seen right alongside side each other during the performance. Eminem also took the time to wish his daughter Hailie a happy anniversary with her husband Evan while on stage.
After sending his love, Eminem then called out, “I’m outta here Detroit. I love you, peace.” Jelly Roll then told the crowds to continue their applause. He called out, “One more time for the mother-f****** GOAT! Literally, the greatest of all time! I’m proud to call him my friend. Marshall…Mathers! Mr. Eminem!”

Jelly Roll then took a quick bow and cheered on the crowd. The video looped back to the start, with Roll talking about his childhood dream.
Of course, the post’s caption already gave away the big surprise. As it read, “A childhood dream come true. Thank you from the bottom of my heart @eminem.”
As previously reported, the show already made headlines when Jelly Roll appeared to be performing at the show despite being part of American Idol‘s live finale. Breanna Nix, who competed during the season, eventually took to social media to explain Jelly Roll’s appearance had been prerecorded.
With Jelly Roll’s recent share, fans have shared their own reactions to seeing Eminem on stage. A few commended on Jelly Roll’s journey as the rising star saw his dreams come true. Some comments included:
