’90 Day Fiance’ Ben Rathbun Dead At 55
Former 90 Day Fiance star Ben Rathbun has allegedly passed away at the age of 55. Ben was on Season 5 of 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days. He was battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer when he lost his fight. So, what is known so far since this came out? Keep reading for more details.
Ben Rathbun Dead At 55
90 Day Fiance fans met Ben Rathbun when he fell in love with Mahogany Roca, who was thirty years his junior. He flew to Peru to meet her, but she kept putting him off the entire time. Furthermore, she looked nothing like the photos she sent him, so it was a very murky situation. It appeared that they were over and nothing would come of their odd romance, but they reconnected and made it work. Ben and Mahogany have since tied the knot, but he was in legal and financial trouble. Then, it came out that he had stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Some fans accused him of faking his diagnosis and had only negative things to say:
- Maybe I’m a bad person but this guy was just arrested for scamming a charity. It smells a bit like Mary’s cancer. I won’t believe it without some proof.
- Ughhhh I hate to be that guy, but I don’t believe anything on the internet either. Especially from these two. They’re both drug addicts and scammers. It’s hard to believe what’s real and what’s not.
- I’m confused. I thought he had been arrested and was in jail for some sort of fraud with his church? Now he’s home dying with stage four cancer?
Now, it appears that Ben has lost his fight and passed away at the age of 55. This was shared on social media along with a photo of Ben:
- Ben Rathbun has passed away from cancer today, according to my sources. RIP to Ben and I know this is a difficult time for his family and for Mahogany (who was still with him through these ing times). Sending love and prayers.
No Negativity
It was requested that followers be kind to the late 90 Day Fiance star. They did not want any negativity when it came to him, as his family and loved ones are clearly mourning the loss. Fans were very kind about the passing of Ben and did not make it into an attack:
- Thanks for letting us know. I have informed my husband, who was friends with him when they were growing up. Sad for his family…parents and the kids he left behind.

- I wasn’t a fan, but may he rest in peace, and may God protect his soul. My sincere prayers go out to Mohgany and his friends and family. This is a terrible time, but I hope they all heal and find peace

The father of four was so young when he passed, but hopefully, he was at peace when it happened. This is a sad day for the 90 Day Fiance world.

I’m so sorry to read about Ray and his transitioning today. Say or think what you will or may – I liked him and believed his motives were sincere when it came to Mahogany, from the beginning. My condolences to you Mahogany as you navigate through all of this. I pray you find some peace at the end of the day in all of this, and know Ray meant you no harm. Thank you for being and staying with him while he went through all of this sickness because I know it wasn’t easy for you. Do know that GOD saw you, and I’m the end – that’s truly what matters and HE ALONE will reward you for any and all kindness and love you showed Ready during his suffering and pain. May the peace, comfort, and love of God rests in your heart. I also send my condolences to all of Ray’s family, children, friends and lived ones during this time of bereavement. I do remember Ben and I really liked him.I am so very sorry for his family.He seemed to be a gentle soul and very nice to everyone.I hate when people say bad things about someone they don’t even know.You all still think he was lying about cancer?I wish he had been.
