‘American Idol’: Who Is Going To Win This Season?
Who is going to win this season of American Idol during the May 18th finale? It has come down to Jamal Roberts, Breanna Nix, and John Foster, but it is truly anybody’s game. So, who could be crowned the winner? Keep reading for more details.
Who Is Going To Win This Season Of American Idol?
American Idol has had a very interesting and somewhat tumultuous season. Fans were getting used to Carrie Underwood as the new judge since Katy Perry exited after last season. Jelly Roll also joined in as the first Artist in Residence, helping to guide the contestants along the way. Some feel that the wrong singers were sent home by America, and wonder if the judges give enough advice. At this point, it is down to just three: Breanna Nix, John Foster, and Jamal Roberts. Anyone could win at this point, but who is likely to take home everything?
Jamal is a fan and judge favorite, with a very sweet demeanor. However, it has been noted that he is not a country singer, but rather an R&B singer. Therefore, this could pose an issue for him, given that many winners have had some country in their background. At the same time, Season 2 winner, Ruben Studdard, was known for R&B and soul, so this could help Jamal take it all home. Breanna has been compared to Carrie by fans, as they do not think she is the most interesting. Yet, she has great vocals, so if she follows the judge’s footsteps, she will win.
At the end of the day, John Foster is predicted to win American Idol. Why is this, as he did not sing the right songs during Disney night? Fans love him very much, and his videos have blown up. He and Jamal have very high views, but the latter actually surpasses John. John is also a country singer, and he is in the same vein as Chayce Beckham, Noah Thompson, and Laine Hardy. It must be remembered that John almost did not make it onto the show.

The Afterthought Of John
It was Carrie Underwood who helped John Foster get onto American Idol. She worked with Luke Bryan to convince him that John had star power. Once he made it through the competition, Carrie added this:
“I love that you’re standing here right now, proving me right. And I’m going to tell you right now, if you ain’t real careful, you might just win this whole thing.”
She knew he had what it took to go all the way, and that may be all that is necessary. Moreover, John wrote and sang a song for his late friend, Maggie Dunn. This was a heartwrenching moment, but it left an imprint on everyone’s minds. Carrie had less of a struggle to prove she was worthy in the competition, but former judge Simon Cowell predicted she would win the show. He also said she would be the most successful, so she is predicting something similar with John.
