‘Young & Restless’ Star Jess Walton Saves 2 Babies
Actress Jess Walton is best known for appearing on The Young and the Restless as Jill Abbott. Recently, the star had big news to share with fans of the soap: she had rescued two babies. Fans have also been sharing their reactions to the story on social media.
The Young And The Restless Star Shared The News On Social Media
Walton made her first foray into soaps with the short-lived CBS soap Capitol. After it cancellation in 1987, she joined the cast of The Young and the Restless.
Walton took over the role of Jill Abbott, who had been originated by Brenda Dickson. However, Walton would prove to have the longest run in the role, playing the character for decades.
Fans have also followed the star on social media, where she recently revealed the news that she welcomed two new furry additions to her family. As she wrote, “Meet our tiniest family members, Suki and Sonny!”
The star had adopted two fur-babies. As she explained, “Suki, a 4-month-old female Chihuahua-Dachshund mix, and Sonny, a 1.5-year-old male, 10-pound bundle of terrier energy (breed? Your guess is as good as mine!), are joined at the hip.”
Adding to the heartwarming moment, Walton noted the pups were rescues. She continued, “This rescue duo brings endless joy and is so good for me!”

It had not been lost on fans that one of the pups was named “Sonny.” This brought to mind another famous soap character, Maurice Benard’s Sonny Corinthos of General Hospital fame.
Jess Walton Has Often Shared Photos Of Her Fur Babies On Social Media
Walton has often shared images of her furry friends with fans. During this past Easter holiday, the star posted a photo of her holding her dog, Rita Hayworth, while standing alongside the Easter Bunny. Prior to that, she had shared a photo of Rita Hayworth under some covers in honor of National Puppy Day.
Prior to this, Walton also posted a throwback photo of a number of her dogs taking a nap together. At the time, she wrote, “Bella, Jake, Rita, Lola. My four fur babies all snuggled up about 9 years ago.”

Taking to the comments, many fans shared their fondness seeing the two new additions to Walton’s family. A few fans also tried to guess Sonny’s breed. Other fans also commended Walton for rescuing the two pups. Some comments included:
