Jenelle Evans’ Son, Jace, Reunites With Grandma After Year Of Hell
Former Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans’ son, Jace, is reuniting with his grandmother after a nightmare year. So, will she remain a force in his life after the reunion, and how does Jenelle feel about this? Keep reading for more details.
Jenelle Evans’ Son, Jace, Reunites With Grandma
Jace has been through a lot since the day he was born, as Teen Mom fans are well aware. He was turned over to his grandmother, Barbara, when his mother, Jenelle Evans, was not equipped to be a mom. She wanted to party and live her best life, but that did not involve a baby. Jenelle had two more children, and in 2023, she regained custody of Jace. Unfortunately, he was quickly running away from home and was sent back to his grandma as his stepfather, David Eason, allegedly assaulted him. As soon as Jenelle left David in early 2024, Jace was okay to come back home.
Soon after, Jenelle moved with her kids to Las Vegas, where she called the police on Jace two times. Finally, he went to Florida to live with his father, Andrew Lewis. Some fans wondered if this was a good decision given that Andrew was never around, but it seems to be for the best. Now, Jace is reuniting with his grandma Barbara after so many ups and downs. The teenager is very excited to see her, per an insider, and cannot wait for them to be back together:
“Jace can’t wait to see May May. The plan is for Barbara to come to Florida in June to help Jace fly back to Las Vegas for some things he needs to take care of there.”
Her accompanying Jace to Vegas is interesting given that Jenelle consistently has said she wants nothing to do with her mom. However, she may want to see her other grandkids, Ensley and Kaiser, and be cordial to the Teen Mom alum. Fortunately, Jace seems to be thriving in Florida:
“Jace hated everything about Vegas from the moment he got there and very much missed North Carolina, this is much closer to what he is familiar with. It’s an added benefit that Florida is just a drive to North Carolina, so Jace’s childhood friends are much more in reach than they were when he was across the country in Vegas.”

The Teen Mom Grandma Knows All
One thing about Barbara Evans is that she has insight into Jace and his mental health struggles. The Teen Mom grandmother has openly said that he needed to be medicated and thrived when he was. However, Jenelle Evans opted to stop his meds and supposedly gave him a weed pen instead. Now, Jenelle is speaking up and out about his mental health issues and is making them her own. Fans have not taken too kindly to how she speaks about Jace after all that she has put him through:
- Perhaps now, Jace will have some stability in his life. She has done so much damage mentally to that poor kid. All you have to do is go back and watch teen mom episodes from when he was born and forward. Nothing but constant mental turmoil.

- Because of you and his dad. Girl stop posting his business on social media!
Hopefully, having Barbara back in Jace’s life will be a blessing, and Jenelle Evans can try to get on the right track with her kids.
