The men of the first Golden Bachelorette season proved time and again that they’d do anything for Joan Vassos. One famous group date involved Chippendale strippers teaching some of the (un)lucky suitors their best moves. Even though the season is long over, a few of the men went up for auction at a charity event. Stay on this page to see the video and find out all about it.

No Hard Feelings Between Joan Vassos & Rejected Suitors

Bachelor Nation viewers first met Joan Vassos as a contestant on Gerry Turner’s season of The Golden Bachelor. It was the first season of the long-awaited senior spinoff. The show will return for a second season later this year despite Gerry Turner’s unsuccessful marriage to his final rose winner, Theresa Nist.

After leaving Gerry’s season early due to a family situation, Joan Vassos got a second chance as the first-ever Golden Bachelorette. She formed connections with several of her twenty-four suitors, but felt the strongest for Chock Chapple. He proposed during the season finale. They’re still together but holding off on tying the knot for now.

Senior Contestants Invade Bachelor In Paradise

The format of the Bachelor Nation shows limits the amount of time the contestants spend with the lead. Instead, they spend most of the time together and form close friendships.

The Golden Bachelorette men are no exception. Some of them have become good friends. Most of Joan’s former suitors reunited for the live finale event in November 2024. Some of the men will get another chance to reunite for Season 10 of Bachelor In Paradise.

The season is currently filming but ABC hasn’t revealed the full cast list yet. But we do know that some of the contestants, including Gary Levingston from Joan’s season and Leslie Fhima, Gerry’s Golden Bachelor runner-up, will be there alongside the younger Bachelor and Bachelorette stars.

But three of Joan’s suitors won’t be on BIP and decided to try to find a match for a good cause. Pascal Ibgui, Jordan Heller, and Michael Stevens took part in a charity auction for the Service Club of Chicago. All three live in the Windy City.

Video of the event surfaced on social media. A group of well-dressed society women bid on the three men. The top bids were between $3750 and $4250 before the video cut off. The winning bid wasn’t revealed.

What was the top prize? “Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres for two hours with the three of them and yourself (winner) and two friends.”

Bachelor Nation fans took to the comments on the Instagram post to share their reaction. One wrote, “Oh my gosh I can’t believe that’s all this went for.”

Another added, “Looks like a fun time and for a great cause.

Jordan Heller, who was previously linked to Leslie Fhima, admitted on the social media post that he was “nervous” putting himself on the auction block.
