Ryan Seacrest And Vanna White Make A Major Announcement
Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White shared that they would be shaking things up on Wheel of Fortune. In a recent Facebook reel, the duo revealed that they would be breaking from tradition. The reel was captioned, “We’re spicing things up this week with a brand new way of playing wheel!” It was revealed that casting will look a little different in upcoming segments of the fan favorite.
Ryan Seacrest announced in a Facebook video, “It’s a friendly wheel rivalry all this week as we introduce something new.” Vanna added to the announcement, “For the first time, our groups of contestants know each other. They are all wheel fans who watch the show together.” Ryan finished, “And tonight not only are they playing for cash and prizes, but also for the ultimate victory: bragging rights.” It will be fun to watch fans compete against their friends. A recent episode featured a group of firefighter friends.
Fans Chime In On Big Casting Changes
Ryan Seacrest has had a bumpy start to his season at Wheel of Fortune. He has faced fan criticism over his hosting skills. Fans have been critical of his performance as ratings have taken a hit. Fans were eager to see Vanna continue her reign on the show. The latest shake-up to casting comes as the network struggles to maintain ratings. After Ryan and Vanna’s Facebook announcement, fans took to Reddit to share their feelings on the changes being made to Wheel of Fortune. They said:
- “I really enjoyed the dynamic of them all being friends, and while I know it shouldn’t be the norm, I’d love to see it more often. I have never seen it before.”
- “Not a fan of this concept and making the million dollar wedge a group prize is stupid especially since all 3 have to not land on bankrupt.”
- “The three people knowing each other is an interesting concept and I’m intrigued. But this feels a little off since a) we don’t know them well enough to really form a rooting interest, and b) it seems WILDLY easy to collude to agree to split the money in advance and play to maximize the pot.”
- “Nice fresh concept we are seeing this week.”
Fan opinions on the casting changes are split. The ratings will tell whether the changes are something that should stick around or not. Season 42 of Wheel of Fortune is currently on break but will return on June 6, 2025.

he’s not Pat and never will be. He’s doing a fine job. Seems Noone will be happy with anyone that stepped in his roll. Good luck Ryan!
Love Ryan! He brings youth and vibrancy to the show. Don’t lose him!
People just don’t like change! They are set in their ways! Ryan is doing great! If they don’t like it, turn the channel! I don’t see you doing any better!!
Didn`t care for the change, it`s just not Wheel of Fortune the way we know it. Don`t care for Ryan Seacrest, he seems to have a favorite in every game and I wasn`t happy with the way he treated a man from Arkansas. Treats some better than others. Love Vanna!!
He is friendlier then Pat Sajack and I like Pat but Ryan blows him away
I Do Not Like Ryan Secrest! He is Just not very Mature Acting to Me! He just Does Not Play the Game Well at all…I Don’t Think that He Interacts with the Contestants well at all!
Ryan great so upbeat. My husband and I watch Evernight like the new casting great iidea! I wish someone wins million to share with the others
My husband and I watch every night too. Smiley Ryan is always happy and excited for contestants. Loves hugs too! What we don’t care for are some of the end of show puzzles. They’re don’t make much sense and are harder to figure out. Yes, we’ll keep watching Ryan and Vanna!
