‘RHOBH’ Kyle Richards Shares Devastating Loss With Fans
Kyle Richards of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fame recently shared tragic news with fans. The reality star said goodbye to a loved one in a lengthy post. Towards the end, she also shared a special message with fans.
The RHOH Star Shared The Sad News On Social Media
For many Richards is best known for being one of the original cast members of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Since 2025, she is also the longest remaining cast-member on the show. She also appeared alongside her sister, Kim Richards, in the early seasons.
Outside of reality television, Kyle is also known for her various acting roles, especially as a child actress. This includes Disney’s The Watcher in the Woods and various Halloween movies.
In her personal life, Kyle married her second husband, Mauricio Umansky, in 1996. However, the two separated in 2023. The couple has three daughters together, with Kyle having a daughter from a previous marriage.
On Instagram, Richards recently shared some tragic news with fans. As she wrote, “Yesterday we said goodbye to River. The most loyal dog I have ever known.”
The RHOBH star continued to talk about River’s past and her life as a member of the family. As she shared, “River was a foster fail that was so grateful for being rescued and never left my side.”
“She would wait in the window until I got home every day. Slept in my room making sure I was always in sight.”
Kyle Richards Made A Call To Fans When It Comes To Their Pets
“We all spent the day outside with her and her siblings. We made a circle around her and as difficult as it was to move her back legs, she went up to each of us to nuzzle. She was surrounded by so much love and went peacefully. She lived to be 15 years old.”
The RHOBH star concluded the post sharing, “I’m grateful she’s at peace and no longer suffering but her absence will no doubt be painful. We love you River.” She then ended things with a hashtag, asking fans “#adoptdontshop.”

The carousel post included various images of River. Some highlighs included her dressed up for Halloween and photos with members of the family, including the other fur babies.
Taking to the comments, fans shared their condolences over the news. A few found some happiness that River lived up to 15 years old. Some comments included:
