Ree Drummond Stuns With 50-Lb Weight Loss, Shares Secret

Ree Drummond is known to many from Food Network’s The Pioneer Woman. However, it all started with a blog. Recently, she’s used her website to share her weight loss journey with fans, including overcoming a setback and sharing advice with fans.
Ree Drummond Hasn’t Forgotten The Pioneer Woman‘s Roots
Drummond first came to prominence with her blog, The Pioneer Woman. Originally focusing on her life on a ranch, she began posting recipes.
Soon, this helped launch Drummond’s career in television with the Food Network series, The Pioneer Woman. Since then, she has also launched cookbooks, as well as a children’s book and an autobiography.

However, Drummond hasn’t forgotten her blogging roots. Recently, on her website, she’s been sharing her recent weight loss journey with fans.
The star admitted she initially regained weight she lost in 2021. As she explained, “Bottom line, starting at the end of 2023 I stopped exercising and kinda stopped paying attention to what I was eating.”
Drummond decided to return to plans that helped her before. As she shared, “I decided to jump back (on) the plan I’d found success with in 2021, just not quite as high a gear as the first time. Long story short, I have found that it all still holds true, and FOR ME. It is working again like clockwork or science or whatever the word is.
The Pioneer Woman revealed she focuses on exercises that buil muscles, including lunges and squats. As for her diet, she adds more protein and cuts back on alcohol.
Drummond Also Talked About What She’s Been Doing Differently This Time Around
The Food Network star explained, “I can’t emphasize enough (just to repeat) how important it is to build muscle. And how important protein is as a part of that goal.”
“In February, the scale was pretty stubborn until I bit the bullet and started doing all the leg/butt exercises. Within a week, it kicked in.”
That said, Drummond admitted things might go a little differently than before. For example, she originally would avoid alcohol for periods of time during. Now, however, she said she would “generally have a little white wine then top off the glass with cold Topo Chico sparkling water. So, it’s kind of a wine spritzer type of thing.”
The star also talked about using an app to help. As she shared, “I still LOVE the Happy Scale app. During the year I was gaining weight, I didn’t use it very often. I’m using it again and forget how helpful it is!”
Drummond previously wrote, “It doesn’t tell you how to lose weight, and it doesn’t track calories, exercise, or anything other than your daily weigh-in. But what it does, after just a few days of daily weight logs, is keep you posted on your progress. Your current rate of weight loss, your overall rate of weight loss, and how that trend will play out over time.”
