My 600-Lb Life star Randy Statum is one of Dr. Now’s many patients who were already fighting for their lives upon entering the program. He weighed over 650 pounds when he sought Dr. Now’s help. He couldn’t do anything in life and had to rely on his family for his daily needs. His marriage was also affected by his condition. My 600-Lb Life: Randy Statum Inspired Many Viewers
Randy had one of the most heartbreaking stories during the season. While he was dealing with his weight, his wife left him due to infertility issues. This made his relationship with food even worse. Fortunately, the My 600-Lb Life star found a new partner in life and remarried. The two welcomed a daughter, which fueled Randy’s desire to lose weight. He wanted to be present for his little girl, and Dr. Now was his only hope.
Randy quickly lost enough weight to qualify for bariatric surgery. He followed Dr. Now’s difficult diet plan, losing 214 pounds. He parted ways with the bariatric surgeon at 441 pounds. But many of his social media posts indicate that he had thrived in his physical journey even more behind the cameras.
What Happened To Randy?
Randy Statum kept in touch with the fans for a couple of years after his episode. The My 600-Lb Life star has uploaded numerous photos of himself showing off his drastic weight loss. He hasn’t shared an update this year. But his last photos in 2021 show that he’s now fulfilling his duties as a father. It also appears that he’s now somewhere below 300 pounds based on how slim he has gotten. One of his last posts was also about a proud moment as his second child entered 4th grade. He has also been a very supportive father, putting on costumes for his daughter’s school activities.

Aside from his kids’ school activities, Randy Statum also likes to bring his children on his hunts. The My 600-Lb Life star hunts for deer and has uploaded a handful of photos with his children during their hunting day. He likes to take his daughters to nail spas as well. Randy has also been going strong with his wife, and it’s clear that the show truly turned his life around. During his free time, it appears Randy plays bowling based on a bowling group he shared on his FB page. At this point, fans can only hope that Randy will get featured in a Where Are They Now? episode to share more updates about his journey.
