‘American Idol’ Fans Disgusted By ‘Sub-Amateur’ Show Conditions

American Idol fans are disgusted by the “sub-amateur” show conditions. So, what does that mean exactly, and is there anything that the hit reality competition series can do to fix it? Keep reading for further details on what viewers have to say.

American Idol Fans Disgusted By ‘Sub-Amateur’ Show Conditions

This season of American Idol has not gone as some had hoped. Viewers are not happy with the judges and often feel that they are useless. More so, they wonder what their purpose is and if they are needed at this point. America has taken over the deciding process, and the judges are just there to critique. At the same time, some fans do not care for the talent and think that they need to step up their game. There are a lot of feelings, but now, the criticism is aimed at production for not fixing the sound quality.

This has apparently been a problem for many years, and it has yet to be addressed or accounted for. One fan shared these feelings about Idol and how they have not stepped up their game:

  • I don’t understand why a show that is about singing has such HORRIBLE sound. It has been a problem for years & I don’t know why the producers continue to allow such sub-amateur sound. Get right American Idol!!!!!

They feel that this show is not allowing the true talent to be heard when it is a big show. Therefore, if this is a singing competition, the sound should be on par. That has not happened, and it is causing backlash.

Despite some saying that the talent is not as great this season, others have picked their favorites to win. Moreover, they have stated that they will rebel if they don’t win. One of the contestants, Jamal Roberts, is a fan favorite, and viewers have made that clear:

Make The Show Better

Many other American Idol fans felt that the sound is failing and has caused issues for all who sing. They only get muffled sounds when some perform, plus they noted that the backup singers overpower the main contestants:

  • Itā€™s true, when the country trio was singing, slater and thunder sounded muffled asf
  • And often the band and backup singers overpower the performers! šŸ˜ 
  • The sound and video seem just a hair out of sync at times too. It makes them appear to be lip syncing when we know they are not.
  • YES! I have to blast volume on my tv to halfway hear it. Then when it is over and I turn channels it Shakes the walls šŸ¤£
  • Itā€™s been pretty bad lately. As someone who has a side gig doing live audio broadcast mixing, the past couple of weeks have driven me crazy.

One person stated how The Voice has incredible sound, but another added that they are still in the prerecorded rounds. The Voice has yet to go live, so they believe the sound quality can be altered if needed.
