Mykelti took to social media last year to share Kody’s decaying relationship with his kids. According to the Sister Wives star, things haven’t been great between Kody and his kids since his split with Janelle, Christine, and Meri. However, things got worse when Garrison passed away. Mykelti claimed that their father alienated the older kids even more, and new sources finally surfaced, which may explain why Kody began to distance himself from his kids after Garrison’s funeral.
Kody Brought TLC Cameras To Garrison’s National Guard Funeral?
A reality TV blogger recently shared new details regarding Kody’s disturbing actions during Garrison’s National Guard funeral. According to the blogger, a source said that Kody’s desire to get Garrison’s remains home and bury him himself was something he told one of the organizers from the funeral. The Sister Wives star was allegedly “privy” to the service and cremation of his son. The source claimed that nobody from the family wanted the film crew during the funeral except Kody.
The insider added that something went down at the funeral, which was something Mykelti had also discussed last year, saying that it forced them to distance themselves from Kody and Robyn. The source alleged Kody wanted to bring in cameras during the service for Garrison to film it for TLC, but one of Janelle’s relatives reached out to Kody and told him not to come to the service event, including Robyn, and that they did not want any filming for TLC.
The source added that Janelle’s family members believe Kody and Robyn’s mistreatment of Garrison played a significant role in his mental health. But despite being told off, Kody and Robyn appeared at the funeral anyway. What makes it worse is that Kody allegedly brought cameras with him.

When Kody and Robyn Brown appeared at Garrison’s funeral, the source alleged that the tone and atmosphere completely shifted. Many family members expressed their disappointment at seeing the two arriving like superstars with cameras surrounding them. The source also had the impression that Kody and Robyn thought highly of themselves during the funeral, adding that they were already mic’ed up, ready to film the heartbreaking day.
Garrison has also expressed how much he doesn’t like their reality show. His last text messages also said that he didn’t want to be exploited by Kody. But it seems Kody’s appearance at his son’s funeral shows how much he only cares about himself. And even if Kody got his son’s ashes, he wouldn’t be able to legally bury him because Kody was not listed on Garrison’s birth certificate.

Could Kody possibly sink any further!? Seriously, he has never been a close, nurturing father of all 19 kids, except Robyn’s adopted children from her previous relationship. Kody is most likely one of the foremost reasons Garrison took his own life. The burden was to great to carry, knowing all the harsh things Kody spewed about the Christine, Janelle and Meri, the 3 women who literally bore and raised the 16 pre-Sobbin’ Robyn existed family. It troubles me, also, that Robyn has the nerve to repeatedly throw out, when being filmed, comments about how she thinks she financially pitched in and took part in “all those years” trying to justify her greater portion of the property that “they” (K&R) just recently sold. What EVER did she bring to the family except her debts from prior dats? What income, besides TLC’s allotment for being filmed so that we might be able to see her “doing her deeds” to manipulated Kody against the original 3 wives. Oh, Sobbin, you stand grand at how proud you are regardless of your poor pitiful acting attempt at convincing yourself and the audience that you’ve played a major role in “the family”. You only fool yourself and your perm-brained, addled narcissist husband. Good luck with THAT. I applaud Christine, Janelle and Meri for their departure from the circus and wish you ladies well, with onward and only upward, as you deserve so much more!

If TLC considered going to tape the funeral I will stop watching. To give Kody and Robin this as an act of grieving. Kody is probably the reason that his son was in such a bad situation. The way Kody talked to the boys during COVID was so painful to watch. I saw the funeral of Whitney moms it was so painful and heartbreaking. To think that she was making money off her mother being dead. I stopped watching that show. Shame on you TLC for doing this. Very disrespectful and disgusting. Now to think it almost happened again with Kody. I wish Kody and Robin were not on this season. It would have been better just to have the three wives. Kody is such a horrible person all he cares about is money and more money.
