Jax Taylor Loses Job After Reality TV Behavior
Jax Taylor behaving badly on reality TV is nothing new. He’s been having outbursts on Bravo since 2013 when Vanderpump Rules started. During the show’s first season, he famously got in a brawl with Frank, who was dating Jax’s ex, Stassi Schroeder, at the time.
No one is safe from Jax’s wrath, not even Lisa Vanderpump. In a Season 7 argument with the SUR owner, he referred to VPR as “his” show. Coincidentally, Season 8 was his last. Rumors persist that he was fired from Vanderpump Rules.
Jax Taylor and his then-wife, Brittany Cartwright, returned to Bravo last year on The Valley. The show follows them and a new group of friends as they navigate adulthood. The second season is currently airing on Bravo.
But it seems Jax Taylor can’t get away with his bad boy behavior in 2025. He lost out on a major opportunity when a national podcast tour was canceled after backlash from viewers about his behavior on The Valley.
The reality star went to rehab after filming the show’s first season. Season 2 of The Valley has been documenting Jax’s time in rehab.
The Valley Exposes Rage Texts From Jax To Brittany
One recent explosive episode of The Valley exposed angry texts Jax sent to his estranged wife while in rehab. The Vanderpump Rules alums separated in 2024 after four years of marriage. They share a son, Cruz, who was recently diagnosed with autism.
In one text exchange, Jax accuses Brittany of taking their son away from him. He also claims she took his job away from him. The U.S. Sun reported in November 2024 that Jax was forced to go to rehab or he’d be fired from the show.

In a second text message, Jax said that he went to rehab for his son, Cruz. He told Brittany that her family is the most f**ked up he’s ever seen, but even they wouldn’t do that she did. “I will never ever forgive you,” he wrote.
Jax Taylor was confronted with the rage texts on an After Show episode. He admitted that he shouldn’t have been using his phone in rehab. He added that he was addicted to social media and texting. The reality star revealed he would go to a therapy session and then come right back to his room to text or use social media.
Elsewhere in the After Show, he addressed how he’s always gotten away with his bad behavior, even as a kid. According to Jax, he was never held accountable until now. He gave that as a reason or excuse for the rage texts.
Brittany Cartwright expressed regret that their son will someday see the rage texts Jax sent to her.
