Brad Arnold is known to music fans as the lead singer of 3 Doors Down. Recently, the singer opened up about a cancer diagnosis. Arnold shared the devastating news with fans on social media. The news will also impact an upcoming tour for the band.

Brad Arnold Has Been Part Of 3 Doors Down Since He Was A Teenager

Arnold is the lead singer and one of the original members of the Mississippi-based rock band 3 Doors Down. The band is famous for songs like “Kryptonite,” “Here Without You,” “When I’m Gone,” and “It’s Not My Time.”

Arnold was only a teenager when the band first formed, with him reportedly writing “Kryptonite” when he was 15. Since then, however, he has served as 3 Doors Down’s longest tenured member, being part of the group since its start.

However, Arnold recently shared some devasting news with fans on social media. Taking to Instagram, Arnold shared in a video, “Hey everybody, it’s Brad from 3 Doors Down. I hope you’re having a great day today. Got some not so good news for you today.”

“So, I’d been sick a couple of weeks ago and then went to the hospital and got checked out and had actually got the diagnosis that I had a clear renal carcinoma that had metastasized into my lung and that’s stage four. And that’s not real good.”

Despite the news, Arnold made clear he wanted to keep his spirits up. He continued, “But you know what? We serve a mighty God, and he can over overcome anything. So, I have no fear. I really sincerely am not scared of it at all, but it is going to force us to cancel our tour this summer, and we’re sorry for that.”

Many Prominent Musicians Also Sent Words Of Support To The 3 Doors Down Singer

In a caption for the post, Arnold also wrote, “Thank you for all the memories so far. Now, I believe ‘ITS NOT MY TIME’ is really my song. This’ll be a battle so we need our prayers warriors! Thank y’all for being the best fans in the world. We love y’all!”

Other figures in the music industry took to the comments to share their support. Creed’s Scott Stapp shared, “If anyone has the FAITH and STRENGTH to face this fight, it’s YOU brother. You and your family are in my prayers daily.” Chris Daughtry wrote, “Sending you love my brother.”
