Ozzy Osbourne is set to perform his final gig with Black Sabbath this July with the upcoming “Back to the Beginning” show. However, this comes out as the star has been dealing with various health over the years. Recently, Ozzy himself has spoked out about these issues and how he’s dealing with it.

Ozzy Osbourne Will Reunite With The Other Founding Members Of Black Sabbath For The First Time In Decades

Black Sabbath was founded in 1968 and has gone on to be seen as a pioneer in the heavy metal music scene. The founding members include drummer Bill Ward, bassist Geezer Butler, guitarist Tony Iommi, and vocalist Ozzy Osbourne.

Throughout the years, the band has seen changes in the line-up. However, since the late 1990s, they have usually settled on the original founding members. Recently, it’s been announced that the group would team up for one final gig. In fact, this will mark the first time the four original members have performed with each other in around two decades.

The final show will be part of “Back to the Beginning,” an upcoming show at Villa Park, Birmingham, on July 5, 2025. However, the final show won’t necessarily be an easy feat for Ozzy Osbourne, who has publicly dealt with various health issues in recent years.

This has included spinal surgeries and a Parkinson’s diagnosis, which Ozzy shared with fans back in 2020. As noted by The Independent, Ozzy previously spoke about his health on his Sirius XM radio show earlier this year, noting even his ability to walk has been impacted. At the time, the star noted, “I have made it to 2025. I can’t walk, but you know what I was thinking over the holidays? For all my complaining, I’m still alive.”

“I may be moaning that I can’t walk but I look down the road and there’s people that didn’t do half as much as me and didn’t make it.”

Ozzy has given a more recent health update with The Guardian, where he admitted, “I also get blood pressure issues, from blood clots on my legs.”

Osbourne Also Described How He’s Preparing For The Big Event

Ozzy admitted he won’t be as active during the show as in concerts from years past. He noted, “I’m used to doing two hours on stage, jumping and running around. I don’t think I’ll be doing much jumping or running around this time. I may be sitting down, but the point is I’ll be there, and I’ll do the best I can. So all I can do is turn up.”

However, the singer also previously talked about the steps he’s taking to prepare for the show. He noted, “I do weights, bike riding, I’ve got a guy living at my house who’s working with me. It’s tough.”

“I’ve been laid up for such a long time. I’ve been lying on my back doing nothing and the first thing to go is your strength. It’s like starting all over again. I’ve got a vocal coach coming round four days a week to keep my voice going.”

The Black Sabbath Singer Also Hinted At How He Wants To Spend The Rest Of His Life

With the gig being advertised as a “final” show for the band, Ozzy conceded, “I’d love to say ‘never say never’, but after the last six years or so … it is time. I lived on the road for 50-odd years, and I’ve kind of got used to not picking up my bags and getting on the bus again.” He also admitted to being a bit of a “homebody.”

Ozzy himself also teased what he wants to do next with his life. As he shared, “Get some ponies and chickens, and a million dogs. I want to open a dog rescue centre and a horse rescue centre. Scream at the neighbors a couple of times. There you go.”

Ozzy also admitted, “But it’s time for me to spend some time with my grandkids. I don’t want to die in a hotel room somewhere. I want to spend the rest of my life with my family.”
