Welcome to Plathville Fans Saw The End Of Ethan Plath’s Five-Year Marriage To Olivia
Fans have come to know Ethan Plath from Welcome to Plathville, a family of eleven that lives in Georgia. For five years, he was married to Olivia, née Meggs. However, as featured on the show, Olivia filed for divorce back in 2023.
Recently, Olivia shared a story on TikTok about attempts to finalize the divorce with fans. During the story, however, she shared surprising news about Ethan.
Olivia opened up sharing, “Okay, so remember a year and a half ago when I tried to get divorced. Yeah, this was all on TV.”
“Anyways, so for a while and he finally did sign papers. On the show, it says like Ethan finally signed [the] divorce papers. But what is not shown is that he filled them out incorrectly. He refused to put financial information in the paperwork which is needed in the state of Minnesota.”
“So, the court flagged the papers. They never went through. It wasn’t actually filed. We didn’t get divorced and when I reached out to him to try to get him to fix the paperwork, he blocked me and I remained blocked for like a year.”
Olivia Broke Some News Towards The End Of The Video
“A couple of months ago, he unblocks me, reaches out, and is like, ‘Olivia, I’m sorry I made you wait, but we need to get divorced immediately…This needs to happen as soon as possible.”
Olivia continued, “I don’t want to talk to him. But I want to get divorced. So I was just kind of like what is this? Like you make me wait a year and then suddenly you’re ready and I have to get on your timeline.”
Olivia initially attributed the delay to Ethan’s family telling him she was making the divorce all about her and that he should take his time. She also discussed how she preferred communicating with Ethan’s legal team instead of him directly.
However, Olivia then shared something that could also be speeding up the legal proceedings. She shared, “Then I found out, he got engaged.”
Towards the end of the video, Olivia also added, “Good luck Teegan. Good luck to your daughter.” As previously reported, a new love in Ethan’s life has recently been named Teegan Nichols, who also has a daughter from a previous relationship. At the time, fans were already wondering if Ethan was ready to be a stepfather.
Ethan Teased A New Love In His Life Earlier This Year
Earlier this year, Ethan shared a carousel post with a new love, who was unidentified at the time, on Instagram. At the time, he wrote, “Proud to introduce my sweet girlfriend!”
“She truly is one of the sweetest, kindest, and patient people I’ve ever known! Looking forward to the next year and what it has to bring. Wishing everyone a very happy new year! Here we go 2025!”
