Why Isn’t ‘Beyond The Gates’ On Tuesday and Wednesday This Week?
Fans of CBS’ soaps have recently gotten into its latest daytime drama, Beyond the Gates. However, the soap appears to be missing a few days this week. Viewers are already wondering what’s happening to the up-and-coming soap.
Fans Will See Beyond The Gates Take A Little Mid-Week Break
Beyond the Gates is CBS’ fledgling soap, first premiering back in February. The series centers around the affluent Dupree family that lives in a gated community in the Washington metropolitan area.
Beyond the Gates is also one of the first soaps to premiere on a major American broadcast network since Passions in 1999. For comparison’s sake, CBS’ two other soaps, The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful, premiered in 1973 and 1987, respectively.

The soap will have a new episode on Monday, April 28, but will take a break for the following two days. Beyond the Gates will then resume on Thursday, March 1.
Another break will also take place the following week on Tuesday, May 6, and Wednesday, May 7. Once again, new episodes are expected to air on Monday, Thursday, and Friday of that week.
Some Of CBS’ Other Daytime Shows Might Be Impacted In Local Markets
Fans are already worried about what could be happening to the soap. However, this is only a temporary break as CBS is airing the UEFA Champions League Soccer games. The live games will also stream on Paramount+.
Instead of Beyond the Gates, CBS will air UEFA Champions League Today. This pre-game show provides new and highlights from the League, followed by coverage of the game. This is the fourth year that CBS has aired the UEFA Champions League Soccer games. Longtime fans of the network may remember The Talk facing similar schedule changes for the games in years past.

Whether fans will see CBS’ other soaps get impacted the games depends on where they live. According to Soap Opera Network, The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful will air as usual on the East Coast. However, West Coast fans, or those who live in the Mountain and Pacific Time Zones, will see these soaps preempted.
CBS Recently Saw Similar Preemptions Thanks To March Madness
As Beyond the Gates‘ schedule change takes place from coast to coast, fans aren’t going to miss any new episodes during the preemptions. However, since it will only air six episodes between the two weeks, it will bring its current episode count to 49. Meanwhile, fans impacted by local preemptions could likely stream episodes through the CBS website or app or through Paramount+.
Of CBS’ daytime programs, The Price is Right is believed to be the only show what won’t be impacted throughout the country. Let’s Make a Deal won’t be impacted in markets where it airs before The Price is Right but may be impacted in markets where it airs after Beyond the Gates. Some CBS stations may air it in a later slot. Some stations could also do this for both The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful.

As previously reported, CBS soaps recently saw similar preemptions during the network’s coverage of March Madness. At the time, all three of CBS’ soaps were taking a break throughout the country.
