American Idol contestant Canann James Hill is losing fans. Why is this happening? Well, it seems that there is a lot going on with him that fans do not like. He used to be a fan favorite and still is with some. However, he is losing quickly. More and more people start to dislike him the longer he is on the show. There is a lot to go over. Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Night
American Idol has a different theme for many of its episodes. The most recent was Rock and Roll Hall of Fame night. The contestants needed to choose a song that fit the category. Viewers were not thrilled with the episode, though. People found it boring, and the song choices were not out of this world. Carrie Underwood was not afraid to critique the contestants on this. Canann was one of the contestants who may not have followed the theme like viewers would have liked. He managed to somehow turn it slightly gospel, which is the genre of music he is most comfortable with.

Canaan James Hill is losing fans left and right. However, this is due to his not stepping out of his box. Fans would love to see him dabble in other genres besides gospel.
- This guy takes no chances. He even said “how can I make a rock song gospel”. Come on man, try something different. Even the judges have had enough and told him to do what I’ve been saying for weeks. He’s obviously heard other music right? Pick a popular song and make it your own.
- Yeah I’m honestly not a big fan of him. He just yells the entire time
- I think he has the best voice, but he went from being my favorite to dropping down behind Jamal. He needs to step outside of that box
- He has one of the best voices but can’t seem to get out of his box. I would love to see him just try something else but if he wasn’t willing to take a chance tonight, he’s probably not going to change.

His resistance to doing anything but gospel is infuriating. He will never be on the radio; his ceiling is being a singer in some Baptist mega church. Go away.

It seems as though the American Idol contestant needs to step out of his box more. This is what people are complaining about. They want to see him step outside of his comfort zone, even if it is just a little. Viewers did not like how he somehow turned the theme of rock and roll into gospel.
