American Idol Fans Say Unfair Aspect Has Ruined The Show

Fans of the show are not happy lately. Now they are saying an unfair aspect of American Idol is ruining the fan-favorite show. They do not like the voting aspect that is going on right now.

  • Being able to vote for your favorites before they’ve even stepped foot onstage is crazy. It kinda becomes a popularity contest. They could have a below average performance, and have no consequences.
  • Totally agree. In the past, going last was an advantage. Now, you barely have any chance to prove yourself because undecided voters don’t have much time to vote before the window closes. If you’re not a fan favorite, you’re pretty much done for
  • It’s always been a popularity contest.
  • If you can vote without actually watching the performance, it’s a popularity contest.
  • I totally agree. Voting before you hear them means the performance isn’t important. I actually remember the first time I voted for Kelly Clarkson based on Just Like That There, Kris Allen based on Man in the Mirror, and David Cook based on Alwasy Be My Baby. Before those performances, I voted for others as my favorites. This is why I also don’t agree with how fast it eliminates now. It’s a disadvantage to those who need more growth.

Yikes. Fans are not too thrilled with how things are being handled.

It seems as though fans do not like how voting is going this season. They do not get to see the artists perform before voting. This allows them to have a bd performance and get no repercussions. Usually, the votes are based on your recent performance, not the last one, while you get to sing without stress. What do you think about this? Do you think the voting is ruining the show?
