‘Unexpected’ Tyra Boisseau Scared As She Returns To School
Former Unexpected star Tyra Boisseau shared her fears as she prepared to return to school. Viewers watched her leave for college shortly after she gave birth to her daughter, Layla. Yet, she struggled and ultimately came home. Now, she is entering a new chapter, but what is she going back for? Keep reading for further details.
Tyra Boisseau Scared As She Returns To School
While on Unexpected, Tyra Boisseau was accepted to college and opted to head off after she gave birth to her daughter, Layla. She left her behind with her boyfriend, Alex Wilson, and fans struggled with this. They did not think that it was very responsible of her to ditch her child, despite only being two hours away. Yet, others supported Tyra’s decision to obtain a higher education, so it was very mixed:
- The cheering and staying away more was crazy lol like bizarre immature behavior

I feel like a lot of people forget she had a cheer scholarship, she was saving a huge amount of money for not only herself but her daughter.
The fact that she had gotten a scholarship could have factored into her decision to leave. Some fans cited that she may not have had the money for another school. Eventually, her GPA was so low that she looked at her other options. Fans were wondering if she ever completed her degree, and that is not entirely clear. However, Tyra welcomed a second baby with Alex and is now headed back to school. She shared that she was going to attend esthetician school, showing herself in her scrubs. Admittedly, the Unexpected alum was a little bit nervous about stepping inside the classroom.

However, she explained that she is a very social person, so she was not worried about making friends. Plus, she credited her time in reality television for making her feel comfortable. Yet, Tyra has not been in a classroom in over two years, so that is a long time to be out of the game. Still, she was grateful she had the opportunity to pursue her passion.
Living A Dream
Tyra Boisseau admitted that she had long wanted to pursue this field. However, she did not know how to go about it. That was when the former Unexpected star began making calls and finding out the requirements. It is 750 hours and around six months. Tyra credited her “village” for allowing her to go back to school. As for the fans, they were very excited about this new journey ahead. More so, per her request, estheticians and students shared their thoughts:
- It’ll be over before you know it, enjoy it! Esthetician school was one of the funnest experiences for me!
