‘Today’ Jenna Bush Hager Announces Big Career Move
Jenna Bush Hager is known to many fans for her co-hosting duties on Today. However, she’s also recently announced a new career move. In fact, Hager shared details with fans both on Today and on social media.
Jenna Bush Hager’s New Announcement Revolves Around A Passion She’s Long Shared With Fans
Hager and her twin sister Barbara are the daughters of 43rd U.S. President George W. Bush. However, Jenna has also made a name for herself through various roles.
For many, Hager is best known for co-hosting Today‘s fourth hour, which became styled as Today with Jenna & Friends following the departure of Hoda Kotb. In fact, Hager has been working with NBC News in some form since 2009.
However, Hager recently announced a new career move with fans. Taking to Instagram, she shared, “I am SO excited to announce our first ever [‘Read With Jenna Book Festival!!’]”
“Join us to connect with fellow book lovers and meet some of your FAVORITE authors — Elin Hilderbrand, Ann Patchett, Alison Espach, Chris Whitaker, Amity Gaige, Rumaan Alam, Jessica Soffer, Emma Straub and Jean Kwok. Plus, a performance by the incredible @blessingoffor …. And so much more!”
Today fans have long known Hager for her love of books, complete with her own book club. In a 2023 interivew with Today, she shared, “When we started Read With Jenna, we hoped to build a community of people who wanted to read here and there. I don’t think we ever could have imagined that we’d have… a community that’s so engaged and compassionate. It’s the community of readers who are so engaged, and the community of authors who I have gotten to know.”
Hager shared more details on Today: “It’s going to to be so much fun. I’ll be joined by Elin Hilderbrand, Ann Patchett, Alison Espach, Rumaan Alam, Jessica Soffer and many more ‘Read With Jenna’ authors.”
The Today Star Promised Fans Music & A Podcast Recording
“At the ‘Read With Jenna Book Festival,’ you can expect conversations with authors, book club discussions, book signings, meet and greets, a live recording for Jenna’s ‘Open Book’ podcast and live performers.”
“Plus, it’s Nashville, so of course we’ll have some music — singer-songwriter Blessing Offor will perform! My mom started the Texas Book Festival and I’m staring the Read With Jenna Book Festival.”

The Today website also had information on how fans can purchase tickets. A statement read, “Don’t miss this exclusive literary event, where you’ll connect with fellow book lovers, meet ‘Read with Jenna’ authors, and dive into engaging conversations, pop-up bookshops, immersive experiences, surprise giveaways, and more! Hosted by Today and sponsored by Visit Music City, this festival is your chance to celebrate the magic of books while exploring all of the excitement Nashville has to offer.”
