Hoda Kotb Gives Surprise Update, Returning Soon
Hoda Kotb recently left Today earlier this year. However, fans have still been keeping in touch with her on social media. Recently, Kotb appeared in a quick interview where, in just a few seconds, she was able to tease a big update with fans.
Hoda Kotb Recently Gave An Update In An Interview Lasting Less Than A Minute
Kotb had been working with NBC since 1998. By 2007, she became a host of Today‘s first fourth-hour weekday morning broadcast. Over the years, she was paired alongside Kathie Lee Gifford and Jenna Bush Hager. In 2018, she became a co-anchor on Today alongside Savannah Guthrie.
Back in September, however, Kotb announced that she would eventually leave her roles on Today. Fans saw her final day on January 10, 2025. Craig Melvin would take Kotb’s seat alongside Guthrie, while Hager has seen a variety of revolving guest co-hosts.
According to a recent TMZ video, however, fans might soon see Kotb back on the small screen. A reporter asked Kotb what she’s been up to. Kotb, who appeared to be in good spirits, shared, “I’ve been sunnin’. I’ve been funnin’. I’ve been lovin’ my kids!”
The reporter noted, “I love that,” and asked, “So when can we see you back?” Kotb replied with a simple “Soon! Soon! I have something coming. Big!”
Kotb Has Also Been Sharing Family Moments On Social Media With Fans Following Her Today Exit
Fans had long suspected that Kotb would be returning to television in some way following her exit from Today. At the time, while she was leaving the show, it was noted she would remain on NBC in some unspecified role. That said, while likely, it’s unclear if Kotb’s show is even related to NBC.
At this time, there isn’t much information on just when Kotb will be returning to television. It’s also unclear what role she will have or what the show will be like. That said, fans at least know they can expect something sooner rather than later.

Recently, on Instagram, Kotb has shared some of the fun she’s been having with her daughters as of late. In one photo, her two daughters were seen coloring eggs for Easter.

Meanwhile, fans are already excited to see Kotb make her return to television. Some also shared how much they missed her since her exit from Today. A few also liked Kotb’s choice of words during the quick conversation. Some comments included:
