Stefani Says ‘Third Party’ Is The Key To Marriage Success
Speaking to Drew Barrymore about her marriage to Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani had a lot of things to say. She went on to add that there’s a “third party” that participates in their marriage, and that this has helped them tremendously.
On the surface, you may think that this third party is another person, as it’s not uncommon for couples to add a third person to spice things up. According to Gwen, however, when Drew Barrymore asked her what the best advice is that she has ever gotten about love, Gwen said: “Best advice would probably be, make sure you have a third party.”
When she said third party, she pointed upward, suggesting that God is the third party in her relationship with Blake Shelton. Being on the same page when it comes to things like faith, children, and overall lifestyle are all big things that can determine whether or not a relationship has what it takes to make it for the long haul, and so far, Gwen and Blake seem to have figured out the formula that works best for them.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton fans may wonder what a power couple like them do when it comes to things like date nights and keeping things interesting. According to Gwen, as much as she is a larger-than-life personality when she is on stage, when it comes to things like date nights, she prefers to keep things much more low-key.
Gwen Stefani said: “I’m literally couch, blanket, chips, I just have the whole thing — the dogs down right there, and then we have two couches, and Blake’s on that couch, and we’re like, ‘Hi!’” Gwen went on to add: “I would sit next to him but he’s gigantic, and we don’t fit anywhere.”
