Andy Cohen Made Jenna Bush Hager Feel Like Third Wheel

Since Hoda Kotb left Today, Jenna Bush Hager has gotten an amazing opportunity. The show she co-hosted with Hoda was rebranded Jenna & Friends. This means that different personalities come on and co-host alongside Jenna. Even her twin sister, Barbara Bush, took a turn in the hot seat. Viewers have loved the choices that were brought on, such as Bowen Yang and Scarlett Johansson. Recently, WWHL host and Bravo executive Andy Cohen sat beside Jenna. The two chatted about everything, but one notable topic was Jenna feeling like a third wheel with Andy.

She explained that it happened when Hoda Kotb was still a co-host and Andy would swing by to say hi. Since Andy and Hoda had a very close friendship, Jenna often felt left out of the situation:

“I always felt like, because you and Hoda have a friendship, Hoda and I have a friendship, when you would come, I was like, ‘Am I on a triple date?’”

Andy then went on to ask Jenna if this made her feel like a third wheel. She admitted that it very much did, however, it was okay as she adores Hoda. Therefore, she loved seeing others feel the same way:

“A little. Not in a good way, but it was okay because I love to watch people love Hoda, you know, she’s my bestie.”

Andy Cohen and Hoda Kotb shared a common bond as they both welcomed children later in life. He was 50 when his first child, son Ben, was born. As for Hoda, she was 52 when she adopted her first daughter. They were both 54 when they welcomed their second babies, so this is something special they can understand.

Ultimately, Jenna did share that she speaks to Hoda all of the time, whereas Andy rarely speaks to her. Yet, he clarified that nothing went down between the two.

A Good Time

Regardless of any initial “jealousy,” Andy Cohen and Jenna Bush Hager had a great time on Jenna & Friends. They talked about everything, including his recent Disney World trip with Anderson Cooper. Additionally, they chatted about being a silver fox. Fans loved seeing Jenna and Andy hosting together, so do they think he would be a good contender to join her on the morning show?

  • Keep Andy! He matches her energy and actually a bit more
  • Andy has my vote for co- hosts!
  • Best show since Hoda left. Anyone agree?
  • If The Today Show had Cohen as a regular, I might watch.
  • Laughed the entire time, like when Hoda was on. Such good energy.
