This Is Why ‘Young And The Restless,’ Hallmark Star Hunter King Postponed Her Wedding
Young And The Restless alum Hunter King got engaged in the midst of a busy 2024 where she starred in the Hallmark movie Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. She found her true love with fiancé Chris Copier. However, she just postponed the wedding.
What happened?
Why Did Hunter King Postpone Her Wedding?
Hunter King has been busier than ever. She starred in Hallmark’s number one 2024 Christmas movie with Tyler Hynes, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story. She got engaged. Now, she may be starring in the spinoff of The Neighborhood. Best of all, she got engaged to her guy, Chris Copier. She showed off her gorgeous diamond engagement ring to Jenna and Hoda. In addition, Chris accompanied her to the first-ever Hallmark Cruise.
Her life has been such a whirlwind that in March, she went to Instagram to ask fans to help her plan their wedding. Hunter realized that the wedding was just four months away. With all of this happening at the same time, could she manage to plan a dream wedding?
On a recent episode of the Hearts Of Stars podcast, Hunter revealed that she and her fiancé, Chris, have decided to postpone their wedding until 2026. Even with help from a wedding planner, there was a lot to do. Therefore, she told the podcast host that between the two, they had too many projects happening, along with some unknown factors.
Firstly, Hunter acknowledged how they realized this was what they needed to do. “I know I had put on Instagram that we were getting married in four months.” Next, she shared why they officially postponed. “And oh, my gosh, the planning was just crazy! It was getting overwhelming. Then we ran into a few snag with just, like, family events going on, and then things with our venue. And, so, we actually decided to push our wedding now to 2026.”
The Professional Bridesmaid star did not elaborate on the venue issues. However, there was more going on.

CBS Has Not Made A Decision On The Neighborhood Spinoff
On the recent Heart Of Stars podcast, Hunter King did not reveal issues with the venue. However, she did share that the uncertainty of future projects led to their decision to postpone the wedding until 2026. This seemed to be the deciding factor on waiting. They did not know if The Neighborhood spinoff was happening. That is why they decided to give themselves the gift of time.
As CBS has not made a decision on The Neighborhood spinoff, they had to guess what the schedule would be, and when they would be off from filming. That is a huge guessing game. Moreover, a wedding is not something you can easily change. Therefore, they are now getting married “early in 2026.”
Also, this is a destination wedding. They are getting married in Steven Piet, in Mallorca. Both of her sisters, Kelli and Joey got married there. This appears to be a King family tradition.
