American Idol watched Baylee Littrell get eliminated Monday night. He was one of six contestants who were sent home. He didn’t make it to the top 14 and he wasn’t one of the lucky four saved by the three judges. Now, the son of Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell is breaking his silence over being sent home. American Idol Favorite Baylee Littrell Sent Home

American Idol hopeful Baylee Littrell was one of the contestants sent home Monday night. There are only 14 remaining contestants hoping to win the title. Now, Baylee is speaking out about his elimination.

He went to social media to share his thoughts. On Instagram, Littrell shared some photos from his performance on the show and said, “My American Idol journey has come to an end💙 Thank you so much to all that supported me this season🙏🏼 I love you all 🙌🏼 #idol #bayleetrain”

Fans instantly started commenting on the post. One of the first to post was his mom, Leighanne Littrell. She praised her son for being a true artist. She also said he killed and she was very proud.

Just last week, she posted a video of Baylee playing the guitar and singing. She said, “Baylee you are a blessing to us Dad and I love you so much and are so proud of you. What you live isn’t easy but you make it look like it is! Jesus loves you and we love you!🙏🏻 💕🙏🏻#bayleetrain 🚂🚂🚂 #god #blessed”

Other fans chimed in as well, reminding Baylee how amazing he is. Another fan said he’s incredible and this is just the beginning for him.

The Elimination Comes After Emotional Song

On Easter, American Idol aired its first all-faith-based night of performances. Baylee Littrell sang an emotional song, which is also tied to his famous father. Littrell chose to sing a song by his dad, which is “Gone Without Goodbye,” from the Backstreet Boy singer’s 2006 solo album, Welcome Home.

After performing the song, Baylee explained that the song is all about the victims of 9/11. He went to share the shocking news that his mother was supposed to of been on the second flight. Luckily, fate had other plans, and she wasn’t on board.

Baylee has his family’s full support in pursuing a music career, following in his dad’s footsteps. During his audition, he even sang a short duet with his father after performing solo.

After that emotional performance, Carrie Underwood praised Baylee by telling him it was one of his best performances so far. The other judges, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, praised the musician as well.

Previously, Baylee has spoken out on how intimidating it can be to pursue a music career. After all, he’s following in his dad’s footsteps and his dad just happens to be a part of one of the biggest, most successful boy bands of all time.
