‘RHOP’ Mia Thornton Confirms Exit From Series After 4 Seasons
RHOP star Mia Thornton just confirmed that she is leaving the hit Bravo reality series after four seasons. She has been a staple since 2021 and Season 6. Yet, she had enough at the reunion and walked away. So, where is she headed now that she is done? Keep reading for more details.
Mia Thornton Confirms Exit From RHOP After 4 Seasons
In 2021, Mia Thornton came on to RHOP as a new housewife. She added spice and flair to Season 6 and remained a staple until Season 9. Unfortunately, at the Season 9 reunion, she was called names by co-star Gizelle Bryant. She deemed Mia a “terrible mother,” but this stemmed from her questioning one of her kids’ paternity. Mia did not know if her daughter, Juliana, was her ex-husband’s or her ex-boyfriend’s child, so that led to the name-calling. Her ex-husband was proven to be the father, but this became a core storyline. At the same time, she had slammed Gizelle’s kids.
That is what led to them having an issue and, in an unprecedented move, Mia exited the Season 9 reunion before it had ended. After Gizelle said:
“You have acted like that this season! A terrible mother! And I stand by that. No woman, no mother, would put their child on a platform to discuss their paternity. No mother would do that. No mother!”
After that, Mia declared that she was out and she was done. She added that she was not coming back, but never confirmed it was for good. Now, in a social media post, the mother of three has stated she will not be returning to RHOP. Furthermore, she added that she and her family are moving to Atlanta.

She thanked the production companies and Andy Cohen for making it all happen, as well as her castmates. Mia Thornton wanted them to know that she appreciated the laughs and the time they spent together. Finally, she thanked the fans for being on this four-year ride with her. Mia held up papers to announce that she was entering a new phase of her life.
Fans React To The News
After Mia Thornton announced her official departure from RHOP, fans and viewers had a lot to say. She had let herself be the subject of public scrutiny, but still lasted for four seasons. Now, usually, when housewives do not show up for reunions, that is the end of their time. RHOBH alum Adrienne Maloof did not attend her reunion, and that was the final straw for Bravo. Her co-star Lisa Vanderpump announced that she was forgoing the Season 9 reunion and not returning. Had she not done that, she likely would have been fired. Since Mia walked off, this could have still allowed her the ability to return. Interestingly enough, fans were not shocked:

- We already knew this. It’s like the third time you’ve said you moved to Atlanta. Gizelle was correct. And we knew when you walked off stage, that was the end for you. Don’t join RHOA

At the same time, some RHOP fans were upset and felt she was the best part of the show. Furthermore, a few were hopeful that she would go to RHOA. Time will tell if she moves franchises, but we wish her the best on her new journey.
