DeAnna Pappas Investigated By Child Protective Services
New court documents reveal that Bachelorette alum DeAnna Pappas is under investigation by Child Protective Services. She was arrested in February after an altercation with her ex-husband, Stephen Stagliano. Keep reading for the latest on the shocking turn of events.
Stephen Stagliano Calls Cops On Ex Again After Domestic Violence Incident
DeAnna Pappas was one of the final two women on Brad Womack’s season of The Bachelor. He ended up choosing neither woman. DeAnna went on to star in Season 4 of The Bachelorette. She was briefly engaged to Jesse Csincsak after falling in love on the show.
They broke up before the wedding but she found love again with Stephen Stagliano. Stephen is the brother of Bachelor Nation star Michael Stagliano. DeAnna Pappas and Stephen Stagliano married in 2011. However, she filed for divorce in 2023. The former couple share custody of their children, Addison, 11, and Austin, 9.
Cops were called to DeAnna Pappas’ residence in February. Her ex alleged that she got violent with him during a custody exchange. She denied the allegations and the charges were later dropped. However, the battle between the former spouses is far from over.
Her ex-husband has claimed for several years now that the former reality star has a drinking problem. In fact, his belief that she had been drinking was the catalyst for the incident in February.
Court documents obtained by In Touch reveal that Stephen Stagliano called the cops on his wife again on April 3rd for a welfare check. Their young daughter allegedly called her dad to express concern that DeAnna had been drinking again and was about to drive them to the airport while intoxicated.
According to her ex, DeAnna left the kids with a neighbor and left before the police could get there. He later found out that DeAnna went to the ER because she felt sick.
“The children were left scared, confused and upset,” he said in court docs about the incident.
DeAnna Pappas Investigated By Child Protective Services
Elsewhere in the court documents, Stephen Stagliano revealed there is an ongoing investigation by the Department of Child and Family Services into DeAnna Pappas. According to her ex, the investigation was launched after a therapist called in a complaint about the Bachelorette star’s alleged behavior.
DeAnna Pappas’ ex-husband claimed that she committed domestic violence against him during the incident in February. “She attacked me, pulled me by my beck and then started punching and slapping me with her left hand,” he claimed in the legal documents. He also sought a change in custody.

Bachelorette Alum’s Ex-Husband Reveals He’s Broke
Stephen Stagliano wrote in the paperwork that he wasn’t trying to take custody of their kids away from his ex-wife. The two agreed on joint custody in 2023 with the agreement that neither were allowed to drink when they had care of the children.
The agreement also required him to pay $1,000 a month in child support and $1,500 a month in spousal support. However, he claimed in the court documents that he could no longer afford to pay that amount. Instead, he wants DeAnna Pappas to pay him child support.
According to her ex-husband, he no longer brings in any income from his position as CEO/founder of a gaming company. “My situation has changed drastically; I am looking for work,” he wrote.
