‘Live’ Kelly Ripa Gives ‘Newborn Baby’ Update

Kelly Ripa Gives ‘Newborn Baby’ Update
At this point, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have three kids, ranging in age from 22 to 27. They love having their kids around, but have also settled into their new phase of life. Together, the former soap stars host Live with Kelly and Mark after years of him filling in as guest host. They just moved to a brand new studio in Downtown New York after almost forty years of using the same studio. This was a huge adjustment, but it allowed the couple to take an extended spring hiatus. After taking a break and moving, Kelly has a “newborn baby” update.
This could lead fans to believe that they may have had a secret love child or welcomed a new puppy into their lives. She just lost her beloved seventeen-year-old pup, Chewie, so that could heal the hole in her heart. Rather, she was talking about her and Mark’s youngest child, Joaquin. It is a huge time in the twenty-two-year-old’s life as he is graduating from the University of Michigan:
“Our newborn baby is graduating in two weeks!”
This is not easy, as Kelly admitted, given that the family loves Ann Arbor so much. It has become such a special place that she admitted they want Joaquin to stay in Michigan. They have tried to coax him into attending graduate school there, but it is unclear if that will happen.

After sharing that Joaquin was graduating, Kelly Ripa shared that she wants to go to college. Her husband was very encouraging. He let her know that if she chose the University of Michigan to pursue her studies, it would be just fine:
“You can go to school, and he won’t be weirded out by his mom in class.”
Kelly started thinking and was unsure if she would end up teaching rather than attending classes.
Time Flies
Joaquin Consuelos entered college in 2021, and for Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa, it was a devastating moment:
“We dropped him off at school and we gave him a hug — it was actually brutally painful… It was really hard.”
Now, his time in Michigan has come to an end, and the next chapter will begin. When he turned twenty-two in February 2025, Kelly posted a tribute to her youngest. Of course, she shared moments from the day Joaquin was born and other highlights from his life. Everyone loved this sweet sentiment and had to chime in:
