‘Survivor 48’: Was Eva Given The Advantage By Producers?
It often feels like contestants could use a helping hand on reality shows, from lifelines to in-show alliances. However, there could be times when it feels like a player could have an unfair advantage. Recently, fans of Survivor has started to speculate that one player might be getting an unfair advantage from producers.
Four Contestants Got A Taco Feast, Complete With Dessert & A Secret Advantage, On Survivor 48
Survivor is currently airing its 48th season, which premiered late last February. The series filmed this past June.
One contestant that has already made an impression on viewers in Eva Erickson. Originally part of the Lagi tribe, she later became part of the Niu Nai tribe after the tribes disbanded and merged.
Erickson is also one of the first openly autistic contestants on the long-running competition series. As previously reported, she was recently the subject of a very emotional moment on the show. After a tense moment on the show, Erickson was comforted by Joe Hunter, who she had previously confided in about her autism. Adding to the moment, Hunter had also kept his promise to help her despite previously switching tribes.
However, a recent moment on the show has Survivor fans wondering if Erickson was getting special treatment from the production team.
During recent events on the show, Erickson, Hunter, David Kinne, and Mary Zheng were treated to tacos, complete with dessert. The four players were the final four in the episode’s Immunity Challenge.
Fans Questioned Eva Erickson Getting Her Clue At Her Assigned Seat
During their taco feast, placards were set telling each person where to sit. At her seat, Erickson found a scroll behind her placard inside a chip bowl. This gave her a chance at earning a Secret Advantage.
Later, the clue could be read saying Erickson earned it for her “effort in today’s challenge.” Viewers also saw Erickson won the Individual Immunity Challenge. With the Immunity Necklace, she earned safety for the day and was spared her from being targeted the Tribal Council.
